The Director of Accounting oversees the sales-to-cash month-end close, journal entries, reconciliations, reporting, royalties, and quarterly earnings support. The role manages and develops the accounting team, strengthens AR and general ledger processes, maintains SOX controls, supports GAAP compliance, coordinates audits, and leads accounting systems, automation, reporting, and process-improvement initiatives. Manage corporate tax accounting and compliance, including U.S. tax provisions, financial statement disclosures, consolidated tax returns, forecasts, estimated taxes, tax depreciation, audits, and domestic tax requirements. Research tax legislation, support internal controls and record retention policies, and contribute technical accounting guidance and SOX compliance implementation. Coordinate with partners and corporate finance while supporting tax administration through return assembly, document processing, e-filing, and seasonal mailings. The role requires confidentiality, strong organization, discretion, and the ability to manage competing priorities during high-pressure tax deadlines, including occasional overtime and weekends.
