Leads multidisciplinary spacecraft structural and mechanical design integration from requirements through production support. The role is fully onsite in El Segundo, California, and requires U.S. person status, eligibility for a U.S. security clearance, and a Secret clearance post-start.

Design and qualify Aeon-R combustion device hardware from concept through flight. Perform hand calculations and FEM (static, thermal, fatigue, damage tolerance), high-fidelity modeling, test data analysis, model anchoring, and risk assessment. Interface with hardware designers and define test objectives to validate models and verify hardware performance.

Provide hands-on structural design and repair support for the C-17 program at depot locations, interfacing with customers and senior engineers. Develop, modify, and document metallic and composite structural designs using 3D CAD and PLM tools, perform root cause/corrective action for discrepancy reports, support ASIP reporting, validate designs with analysis and test data, manage supplier activities, and assist teammates with NX/Teamcenter and product data requirements.

Performs structural analysis for satellite systems and space hardware using finite element models, simulations, and engineering tools. Responsibilities include developing structural requirements, supporting design and qualification, planning and analyzing tests, documenting certification results, investigating failures, improving analytical processes, and coordinating with suppliers and cross-functional engineering teams.

Develop structural repairs, static and fatigue analyses, and substantiation packages for Boeing and MD aircraft. The role supports varied aircraft models on a rotating 7-days-on, 7-days-off schedule with overnight or daytime shifts.
