The Staff Accountant II performs month-end close activities, prepares journal entries, reconciles bank and balance sheet accounts, manages fixed assets and depreciation schedules, records revenue and shared-cost allocations, and supports audits. The role requires accurate application of GAAP, fund accounting, federal award requirements, and financial controls. Additional duties include Medi-Cal waiver invoice posting, cost allocation maintenance, financial analysis, and coordination with internal departments. A bachelor’s degree and at least five years of accounting experience are required.

Assist the Accounting Manager with accounts payable/receivable, cash management, cost accounting, fixed assets, expense management, taxes, and audits. Process invoices and payments, reconcile vendor statements and credit cards, prepare 1099s, record revenues/expenses, maintain prepaid schedules, and support month/year-end closings. Ensure compliance with GAAP, funder and federal requirements and provide cross-training and ad hoc accounting support.

Provide end-to-end HR operational support including recruitment, onboarding, HRIS administration, compliance, leave administration, performance management, employee engagement, recordkeeping, training coordination, and serve as backup to recruiter/generalist. Co-chair safety committee and manage badges/key cards, background checks, and HR reporting.

Lead month-end close, maintain and reconcile balance sheet accounts, manage fixed assets and leases (ASC 842), prepare patient and pharmacy revenue entries, support audits and Form 990, produce budget-to-actual and regulatory reports, and provide financial analysis and guidance to internal stakeholders.
