The Assistant Chief IP Counsel will provide strategic IP guidance, manage patents, oversee IP disputes, and support business growth through legal expertise in a global healthcare company.

Provide day-to-day legal support to commercial, marketing, and functional teams across Dental Solutions and Health Information Systems. Review routine commercial and operational matters, support marketing/claims and contracting activities, maintain legal templates and processes, deliver training, coordinate with Regulatory, IP, Privacy, and Compliance, and help ensure timely, compliant business execution.

Own and maintain multi-phase planning roadmaps for Fraud & Safety Operations. Coordinate cross-functional initiative submissions, track milestones, dependencies, and OKR alignment. Prepare planning materials, synthesize roadmap and OKR data into exec-ready narratives, and proactively identify and mitigate risks to ensure on-time delivery of initiatives.

Manage and scale technical learning programs across AI, ML, data, and engineering communities. Run timelines, logistics, content development, vendor coordination, and metrics tracking. Drive operational improvements, stakeholder coordination, and community-building for virtual learning and events.

Analyze financial reports, prepare budgets and cost analyses, recommend investment and strategic decisions, identify customer needs, develop and implement operational improvement plans, and coordinate changes across departments. Use Microsoft Office and other systems, present findings to senior management, and ensure alignment of operations with business objectives.

Manage daily office operations and projects; supervise administrative and accounting teams; perform HR and executive assistant duties (payroll, onboarding, calendars, travel); document processes, improve efficiency, manage budgets and client relationships to ensure timely, on-budget project delivery and client satisfaction.

Lead and manage the Older Individuals who are Blind (OIB) program, ensuring grant compliance, staff supervision and training, community outreach, billing coordination, program marketing and service delivery across Los Angeles County to support independent living for visually impaired older adults.

Provide applications and installation support for Murata CNC lathes and integrated loaders: develop machining processes, create/validate CNC programs, install and qualify tooling and peripherals, perform acceptance runoffs, troubleshoot Fanuc/PLC and loader programs, train customer operators, and travel extensively to customer sites for turnkey projects.

Manage tax engagements with minimal supervision, perform engagement reviews, supervise and mentor staff, conduct client-specific tax research, strengthen client relationships, improve team profitability, and work toward obtaining a CPA license. May include evenings/weekends and domestic travel as needed.

Manage full contract lifecycle and lead annual/off-cycle price increase strategy for Industrial and Technical Services. Review, negotiate, and administer customer contracts, ensure multi-state compliance (including prevailing wage), coordinate with Legal, Finance, Sales, Operations, and Payroll, and deliver pricing recommendations, communications, and reporting to protect margins and reduce commercial risk.

Support and maintain import/export operations: process and validate customs entries and ISFs, coordinate with brokers and logistics, manage documentation, analyze customs data, support audits, and drive continuous process improvements for trade compliance.

Drive new commercial insurance business within an assigned region through networking, inside/outside sales, trade association involvement, and events. Use CRM (Salesforce) to track leads, present proposals, meet sales KPIs, and represent the company at tradeshows and promotional activities.
