The role coordinates cross-functional production activities, resolves nonconformances, drives corrective actions, supports vehicle-level verification, improves manufacturing processes, and ensures safe, reliable, on-schedule execution. It also requires team development, technical judgment, configuration management, and hands-on integration leadership.

Develop and optimize software for testing, commanding, and monitoring spacecraft. Own software lifecycles through operations, configuration, maintenance, upgrades, and user support. Configure automated testing and deployment systems, maintain ground control systems, mentor junior engineers, and support spacecraft communications at launch sites and in orbit.

Lead the end-to-end color, material, and finish design strategy for human-rated space stations. Develop concepts, research spaceflight materials, manage vendors, build materials libraries, coordinate testing and qualification, and drive designs from concept through production. Collaborate with industrial design, engineering, manufacturing, suppliers, and supply chain teams while ensuring aerospace safety, certification, cost, and schedule requirements. Present design direction to leadership and mentor other designers.

Leads Vast’s brand design standards and creative direction across campaigns, brand initiatives, and key company moments. Manages and mentors a small design team while remaining hands-on in design and art direction. Translates complex technical concepts and business goals into clear creative work, partners with cross-functional teams, presents to stakeholders, and maintains quality standards. Also evaluates AI-driven design and production workflows and manages external creative resources.
