Leads optical subsystem integration, commissioning, calibration stability, and troubleshooting across LPBF machine builds. Manages a small optics engineering team while remaining hands-on with lasers, scanners, beam delivery, verification, documentation, RCCA, and continuous improvement. Partners cross-functionally to improve build quality, uptime, throughput, and production scalability, and trains personnel on calibration, alignment, and laser safety.

Design, build, commission, and operate propulsion test stands including mechanical structures, high-pressure fluid systems, instrumentation, DAQ, and controls. Lead assembly, shakedown, and engine test campaigns, ensure safety and test readiness, generate high-fidelity data, partner with Performance Engineering for analysis and root-cause, and continuously improve and automate test operations to increase throughput and reliability.

Lead the development and improvement of manufacturing processes, troubleshoot production issues, and enhance operational capacity in aerospace and defense manufacturing environments.

Lead end-to-end development of mechanical systems for production machines: define requirements, create CAD and detailed designs, prototype, test, validate, release, and support machine integration. Drive cross-functional coordination, risk mitigation, documentation, and mentorship while applying broad mechanical engineering fundamentals across structures, motion, fluids, thermal, sealing, and enclosures.
