The Product Manager, New Assets will own a core trading product area, working with partners and developers to design and implement new trading capabilities while ensuring compliance with regulations and operational efficiency. Success is measured by partner adoption and production usage.

Embed with brokerage operations to observe and automate manual workflows; design, build, deploy, and monitor auditable backend services and UIs; measure impact with operations metrics; produce RFCs; collaborate with compliance/security; own CI/CD, on-call, and incident response for production systems.

Lead financial and regulatory operations for a self-clearing broker-dealer: supervise FOCUS reporting, monitor net capital, ensure SEC/FINRA compliance, maintain internal controls, oversee clearing/settlement and reconciliations, coordinate audits, and advise management on capital and risk.

Build and scale a global payments and treasury platform: design and implement resilient, event-driven microservices, client-facing APIs, and distributed systems; work with cloud infrastructure, container orchestration, message brokers, and relational databases to support high-volume money movement and financial ledgers.

The role involves managing the accounts product at Alpaca, focusing on KYC, identity verification, and API-driven account capabilities, collaborating with various teams to ensure compliance and partner adoption.

Manage daily crypto customer activity and trading operations, including executions, exceptions, account onboarding/KYC, cash management, and general ledger reconciliation. Support AML investigations, drive process improvements, communicate with partners, and handle ad-hoc projects within a distributed, remote team working core hours around 9am–5pm PT.

This role involves managing internal product workflows, automating solutions for operational efficiency, and collaborating cross-functionally to drive improvements in Alpaca's operational processes.

Manage borrowed and lent securities to maximize profitability and minimize risk. Identify and execute borrow/loan opportunities, automate trading workflows, monitor loans and recalls, manage counterparties, and collaborate with Product, Engineering, and Operations to build securities lending and tokenized equities financing infrastructure.

Manage the tax product lifecycle for a broker-dealer, ensuring accurate and timely IRS reporting and vendor management. Drive cross-functional collaboration and scale tax operations with new asset classes and account types.

Provide IT helpdesk support and device administration across Windows, macOS, and Linux. Manage MDM, SSO, enterprise SaaS, onboarding/offboarding, hardware deployment, asset inventory, endpoint security, and related procurement/shipping. Troubleshoot networks (LAN/WAN), create automation scripts, deliver staff training, participate in on-call rotations, and collaborate with HR and Security teams to maintain secure, scalable IT operations.
