Owns advanced mobile and web analytics for the NPR App, including complex SQL analysis of raw BigQuery, GA4, and Firebase data. Leads A/B and multivariate experimentation, translates behavioral insights into product strategy, develops reporting and self-service tools, ensures data quality, and mentors colleagues and stakeholders on SQL, analytics, experimentation, and data governance.

Own the roadmap and operationalization of NPR’s audience lifecycle and marketing technology platforms. Lead scalable audience activation, personalization, automation, newsletter infrastructure, CDP segmentation, measurement, AI-enabled workflows, governance, and internal enablement. Partner with Data, Editorial, Marketing, Design, Engineering, and Product teams to improve engagement, donation conversion, retention, and audience growth.

Leads architecture for unified native mobile and cross-platform systems, scalable personalization and media delivery pipelines, distributed services, APIs, and client applications. Guides multi-team technology strategy, governance, security, privacy compliance, cost optimization, deployments, incident response, and code quality. Mentors engineers, conducts reviews, evaluates technologies, and contributes resilient production code across iOS, Android, cloud, CDN, and data systems.

Legal externs support NPR’s Office of the General Counsel by conducting legal research, preparing memoranda, contracts, and other documents, participating in client and regulatory meetings, observing proceedings, and attending legal training. The role spans commercial, nonprofit tax, governance, technology, intellectual property, regulatory, constitutional, employment, and labor matters. Applicants must be current law students and secure academic credit for fall or spring placements.
