Troubleshoots API Gateway, AI Gateway, cloud, authentication, and containerization issues; produces knowledge articles, executive summaries, and root-cause analyses. Partners with engineering, product, customer-facing teams, and leadership to improve product stability and customer experience. Mentors support engineers, manages escalations, and drives cross-functional technical projects for high-value enterprise customers.

Manage a portfolio of commercial customers throughout the post-sales lifecycle, driving adoption, customer outcomes, and growth. Develop adoption plans, collaborate with Sales and Product, coach customers on APIs and cloud-native technologies, and improve customer engagement tooling and processes. Own the full enterprise sales cycle, including prospecting, pipeline generation, executive engagement, negotiation, closing, and account expansion. Build strategic relationships with C-level decision-makers, manage forecasts, exceed revenue targets, and identify opportunities within large enterprise accounts. Partner with Product, Marketing, Customer Success, and technical teams to deliver solutions. The role requires extensive enterprise SaaS, cloud, infrastructure, or software sales experience and strong consultative selling skills.

Drive commercial sales growth by prospecting, managing the full sales cycle, closing new business, retaining customers, and expanding existing accounts. Build executive relationships, deliver tailored product demonstrations, forecast pipeline activity in CRM systems, and collaborate with product, marketing, and customer success teams. Represent Kong at industry events while providing market and customer feedback to support product and go-to-market strategies.

Own technical positioning, messaging, competitive strategy, and evangelism for Kong’s AI traffic management, gateway, guardrails, and AI/MCP/agent registry capabilities. Create demos, technical content, reference architectures, and enablement for technical field teams. Partner with Product, Marketing, Sales, and Partners on roadmap narratives, launches, campaigns, customer engagement, and analyst relations. Mentor technical product marketing contributors and represent Kong at industry events.

Embed with business teams to design and build AI-powered tools, automations, and workflows; coach and enable staff; create reusable solutions, documentation, adoption metrics, and governance; mentor junior members and translate AI developments into practical enterprise applications.
