The Mission Operations Engineer leads spacecraft operations during their lifecycle, ensuring mission success through technical authority, procedure development, and anomaly response.

Design, implement, test, and maintain cybersecurity and zero-trust controls for software-based digital twin and satellite simulation products. Perform cyber vulnerability analysis and compliance assessments (STIGs/RMF), integrate security into CI/CD and deployment environments, collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, and develop automation tools for configuration and security evidence to support authorization efforts.

Lead customer-facing satellite operations engineer responsible for 24/7 support, anomaly response, investigations, and RCCA. Acts as primary Boeing contact for commercial, civil, and DoD satellite customers, provides systems-level guidance across propulsion, GNC, avionics, and power, manages customer portfolios, communicates with stakeholders, and drives operational improvements and feedback into spacecraft design.

Perform pre- and post-layout static timing analysis and closure for ASICs, SoCs and FPGAs. Generate tool-independent timing constraints, resolve complex cross-domain timing paths, extract timing from circuit analysis, and collaborate with IP teams, EDA vendors and foundries. Mentor and train junior engineers and support timing convergence through signoff using industry EDA tools.

Design, implement, test, and maintain real-time/near-real-time software simulation models and system-level simulators for satellite mission rehearsal and operator training. Translate customer requirements, integrate and debug simulation scenarios, collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, and create automation tools for configuration and deployments in an agile CI/CD environment.

Develop and verify spacecraft guidance, navigation, and control system architectures; perform requirements definition and allocation, trade studies, design verification, system integration and test; ensure flight readiness of sensors and actuators; lead NRE projects, mentor engineers, and support customer deliverables.

Lead contract actions including proposal development, negotiation, and contract administration for USG programs. Advise management on contractual rights, process contractual documentation, manage FAR/DFARS flowdowns, coordinate shipments/billing/DCMA interactions, prepare reports, and support export/license and proprietary agreement tasks.

Lead proposal preparation, negotiate and administer government contracts (pre- and post-award), ensure FAR/DFARS compliance, manage contract documentation, coordinate shipments/billing/DCMA interactions, and maintain customer relationships for DoD-focused small satellite programs.

Maintain the general ledger and ensure GAAP/CAS/FAR/DFAR compliance; lead month/quarter/year-end close; prepare journal entries and reconciliations; manage fixed assets and contract liabilities; support payroll stabilization, audits, DCAA incurred cost submissions, and process improvements; collaborate with cross-functional finance teams and present analysis to management.

Designs, integrates, verifies, and tests satellite ground systems. Develops requirements, interface documents, architecture, test plans, and reports. Performs system analyses for reliability, safety, maintainability, security, and affordability. Works in agile teams, mentors staff, and supports requirements management, system integration, verification, and customer delivery to ensure mission success.
