Lead a highly technical backend engineering team building scalable SaaS systems and AI-powered accounting automation. Responsibilities include mentoring senior engineers and tech leads, resolving complex technical issues, guiding architecture and system design, reviewing code, operating distributed production systems, and driving AI-assisted software development using tools such as Cursor and Claude Code.

Build and maintain FloQast’s coded design system and component library using React and TypeScript. Partner with platform and global engineering teams, standardize UI patterns, manage design tokens, documentation, accessibility, visual testing, and versioning. Prototype AI-native interfaces, enable designers and PMs to contribute front-end code, audit legacy UI, and improve performance across complex enterprise SaaS workflows and financial dashboards.

Manage security and privacy compliance controls, policies, procedures, and audit evidence. Coordinate control activities, maintain documentation, support ISO and SOC audits, analyze control issues, and facilitate remediation. Partner cross-functionally to strengthen compliance practices, support customer security questionnaires, contribute to risk-aware culture, and improve audit efficiency through AI governance and tools.

Own risk and compliance programs spanning privacy, third-party risk, policy management, security frameworks, and issue remediation. Conduct risk, privacy, and AI impact assessments; advise cross-functional teams; maintain SOC and ISO compliance; manage sub-processors, vendor due diligence, privacy documentation, and policy reviews. Improve program efficiency through automation and AI-driven workflows while supporting evolving organizational compliance initiatives.

Own and resolve customer technical support cases across FloQast’s accounting platform and integrations. Troubleshoot software issues, perform backend configurations, data transformations, migrations, and account-data updates. Use logs, session replay, developer tools, and internal systems to diagnose problems across L1–L3 cases. Build product expertise, document solutions, collaborate cross-functionally, support special projects, and contribute to product feedback and knowledge-base content.

Deploys AI agents to automate enterprise accounting processes, leads finance transformation engagements, troubleshoots Python, SQL, API, and integration issues, and drives customer adoption and ROI. Advises CFOs and Controllers, redesigns workflows, supports change management, manages implementation partners, influences product strategy, and leads onsite deployment, training, and adoption workshops. Requires extensive accounting or finance consulting experience, technical automation expertise, and travel to customer sites up to 60%.

Qualifies and nurtures inbound leads through email, phone, and social outreach; assesses prospect needs, educates them on FloQast solutions, maintains CRM records, and generates qualified pipeline. The role also supports revenue-generating projects across sales, marketing, and revenue operations while meeting lead and pipeline targets.

Architects and leads production AI products, including chatbots, document processing, agentic workflows, and centralized AI platforms. Designs model routing, vector search, retrieval, context engineering, MCP integrations, and scalable cloud-native systems. Integrates AI with accounting systems, repositories, APIs, and enterprise technologies while ensuring monitoring, compliance, and observability. Provides technical leadership, establishes AI development standards, and mentors engineers.

Architect and lead production AI products, including chatbots, document processing systems, and agentic workflows. Build FloQast’s centralized AI platform with model routing, vector search, provider management, observability, and MCP integrations. Integrate AI systems with accounting platforms, repositories, APIs, and cloud environments. Establish AI engineering standards, ensure compliance and reliability, and mentor engineers while providing technical leadership across the organization.

Own the architecture, scalability, reliability, and delivery of complex software systems. Lead cross-functional technical initiatives, design AI-friendly APIs and agentic workflows, improve performance and cost efficiency, partner with product managers, mentor engineers, influence hiring, and drive engineering quality and technical direction with substantial autonomy.
