Design and build test fixtures and instrumented setups for mechanical, thermal, vibration, shock, durability, and materials testing of precision optomechanical enrichment hardware. Develop and execute qualification plans, collect and analyze test data, investigate failures, document results, and partner with engineering teams on corrective actions and design improvements.

Design, build, test, and own precision mechanical structures and optomechanical systems for uranium enrichment technology. Responsibilities include material and coating selection, design optimization, qualification testing, alignment and beam stability testing, root-cause analysis, and cross-functional system integration. Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and software issues; develop documentation and control logic; and collaborate with Manufacturing, Engineering, and Supply Chain to deploy reliable, safe, repeatable production automation.

Support supplier sourcing, qualification, purchasing, material planning, inventory management, and supplier performance tracking for uranium enrichment hardware. Analyze pricing, lead times, availability, costs, and procurement data while coordinating with engineering, manufacturing, operations, finance, and suppliers. Assist with RFQs, supplier onboarding, procurement documentation, and sourcing alternatives for mechanical, electrical, and specialty components.

Assist in developing safety-critical embedded software and low-level firmware for industrial enrichment systems. Support actuator control, high-speed sensor processing, fault-tolerant logic, control architectures, automated testing, hardware integration, debugging, and system commissioning. Work cross-functionally with electrical, controls, software, nuclear, chemical, and manufacturing engineers. Use laboratory instrumentation to troubleshoot real-world embedded systems and contribute to reliable production equipment.

Administer the company’s document control and records management programs to ensure compliance with NRC 10 CFR Part 70 requirements. Maintain document integrity, version control, metadata, approvals, retention schedules, and controlled-document registers. Partner with Quality, Operations, and Engineering, support audits and NRC inspections, improve procedures, and evaluate automation tools for document routing and retention. Serve as the records custodian and ensure accurate record disposition.

Design and operate high-throughput data pipelines, streaming services, time-series storage, and industrial data historians for sensor telemetry in test and production systems. Ensure reliable ingestion without data loss, define data architecture and schema standards, improve operational reliability, and support visualization and analytics teams. The role includes debugging, root cause analysis, engineering standards, and collaboration across controls, test automation, and visualization functions in safety-critical, 24/7 environments.

Supports business development through customer and partner coordination, pipeline and contract tracking, meeting preparation, action-item follow-up, proposal and briefing-material development, and cross-functional collaboration with legal, engineering, finance, and leadership. The intern also helps organize customer visits and conferences, improve commercial processes, and maintain accurate business development records while managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced onsite environment.

Design and maintain high-performance real-time dashboards, HMI/SCADA interfaces, streaming UIs, and post-processing tools for high-throughput sensor telemetry. Define visualization architecture, rendering standards, testing practices, and operational best practices. Collaborate with data platform, controls, and test automation teams while debugging and optimizing the full rendering-to-data stack in safety-critical, 24/7 environments.

Own and drive manufacturing operational workstreams, including procurement, vendor management, security and compliance coordination, facilities logistics, construction buildout logistics, documentation, and data hygiene. Track progress, resolve blockers, maintain status updates, automate repetitive tasks using AI, and coordinate with Operations, Engineering, Security, and Supply Chain to ensure timely execution.
