Electrical Instrumentation and Controls Engineering Intern supporting the design, analysis, testing, documentation, and implementation of electrical power, instrumentation, automation, and control systems for a uranium enrichment facility. Responsibilities include load calculations, power distribution studies, component selection, prototyping, hardware debugging, qualification testing, and cross-functional engineering collaboration.

Own and operate integrations across MES, WMS, QMS, PLM/PDM, and ERP systems. Develop C#/.NET API integrations, monitoring, alerting, logging, retry and reconciliation workflows. Manage PLM/PDM-to-MES pipelines, data mappings, documentation, authentication, access controls, CI/CD, and production support. Lead data migration from legacy finance systems, including extraction, cleansing, validation, cutover, and troubleshooting. The role is fully onsite in Los Angeles and may require extended hours or weekends.

Own onboarding and offboarding, benefits administration, HRIS data integrity, employee records, company events, culture initiatives, compliance documentation, and employee support. Improve People Operations processes, handle confidential information, and partner with Recruiting, Finance, and department leads in a fast-paced startup environment.

Develop reliable, performant software in C++ and Python for control systems, distributed hardware coordination, sensor data pipelines, monitoring, and deployment infrastructure. Assist with system architecture, technical and code reviews, automated testing, and CI/CD pipelines. Collaborate with multidisciplinary engineering teams on complex technical problems involving safety-critical physical systems. Interns may focus on backend services, distributed systems, or developer tooling.

Assist in designing reliable electrical systems for uranium enrichment technology. Responsibilities include systems trades, requirements capture, component selection, circuit analysis, schematic capture, prototyping, bring-up, debugging, documentation, manufacturing planning, production testing, and qualification campaigns. The intern will collaborate across disciplines and gain hands-on experience with sensors, actuators, power electronics, controls, safety-critical firmware, and fielded hardware.

Design, implement, and maintain security controls across cloud, on-prem, air-gapped and classified environments. Support monitoring, detection, incident response, vulnerability management, IAM, secure SDLC, and GRC activities including audit readiness and NRC/classified facility support.

Lead integrated enterprise systems programs (ERP, MES, QMS, PLM, HRIS, CRM) from vendor selection through integration, data migration, phased go-live, and hypercare. Manage schedules, budgets, risks, external integrators, cross-functional dependencies, governance, cutover readiness, and organizational change to ensure adoption and steady-state operations.

Design, build, and maintain custom test solutions and data acquisition systems for mechanical and electrical hardware. Develop and execute hardware test plans, run data analysis, troubleshoot failures, implement test automation, and support qualification campaigns to improve reliability.

Design, develop, test, deploy, and maintain software that interfaces with hardware, instrumentation, control and data-acquisition systems. Build automation, tooling, and internal engineering/test infrastructure; debug across software/hardware boundaries; participate in reviews, testing, documentation, and own projects from concept through deployment.

Design, prototype, test, and deploy mechanical mechanisms and structures for enrichment systems. Own lifecycle from requirements through production release, optimize for cost and manufacturability, perform thermal/vibe/shock testing and root-cause analysis, and collaborate with cross-functional engineering teams.
