End-to-end ownership of flight subsystems: design, build, test, integrate, and flight-validate hardware and software across mechanical, aerodynamics, RF, GNC, electrical, avionics, power electronics, and energy storage. Work in a small, high-trust team, iterate rapidly, troubleshoot in the field, and execute flight tests.

Design, build, test, and iterate lightweight, high-reliability structures and mechanical subsystems for stratospheric solar-powered aircraft. Own hardware from concept through flight, perform sizing and trade studies, support integration, production, and flight operations, and collaborate with avionics, GNC, power, RF, and software teams.

Deploy, configure, and operate solar-powered aircraft and ground systems at test ranges and remote sites. Provide end-to-end field support, troubleshoot hardware/software/network issues in real time, execute flight tests, train operators, capture flight data and feedback, and update documentation and runbooks while collaborating with mechanical, GNC, RF, and software teams.

Own manufacturing and production of flight hardware from prototype through low-rate and scaled production. Design and improve build processes for airframes, avionics, and power systems; develop tooling, fixtures, work instructions, and quality checks. Partner with design engineers, drive root-cause analysis and corrective actions, support integration, environmental testing, flight operations, and help establish production capabilities in El Segundo.

Design, build, and improve bench and system-level test setups for aircraft hardware (avionics, power, sensors). Perform incoming inspection, bring-up, troubleshooting, environmental/qualification testing, develop HIL and automated tests, capture/analyze data, document results, and support integration, production bring-up, and flight test in the field.

Lead and build Icarus's end-to-end supply chain for aerospace flight hardware: sourcing, procurement, supplier management, inventory, materials planning, logistics, and compliance. Define strategy, stand up systems (ERP/MRP, KPIs, receiving/inspection), mitigate long-lead and single-source risks, negotiate terms, and scale supply from prototype to high-rate production while working closely with engineering, manufacturing, finance, and the CEO.
