Provides technical direction, mentors engineers, and delivers data-driven guidance for reliable, mass-producible spacecraft.

Lead K2 Space’s California state and local government affairs strategy. Build relationships with legislators, regulators, agency officials, and Los Angeles-area stakeholders; brief policymakers and VIPs; monitor legislative and regulatory developments; coordinate official factory visits and relevant events; represent K2 in government engagements; and collaborate with communications and government affairs teams to advance company growth and navigate policy hurdles.

Own financial forecasting, reporting, cost and revenue tracking for customer programs. Translate engineering and production requirements into financial models, support monthly close and contract financial monitoring, analyze budget and schedule variances, contribute to proposal pricing, and provide decision support to program managers and executives across a complex aerospace manufacturing environment.

Own the mechanical design and lifecycle development of spacecraft electric propulsion hardware, including propulsion modules, thruster components, propellant systems, avionics boxes, structures, and tanks. Create models, drawings, and interface documents; conduct analysis; develop and execute tests; iterate prototypes; qualify flight hardware; manage suppliers; and support production, integration, and in-space demonstrations.

Own the mechanical design and lifecycle development of high-power electric propulsion hardware for satellites. Responsibilities include requirements definition, concept development, CAD modeling, detailed analysis, testing, design iteration, vendor management, production support, and qualification of flight hardware. The engineer will design propulsion modules, thruster components, propellant systems, avionics boxes, secondary structures, and potentially tanks, ultimately supporting successful in-space demonstrations.
