The Spacecraft Manufacturing Engineer will ensure integration of components and systems, develop manufacturing plans, implement assembly procedures, and enhance product quality and reliability in aerospace manufacturing.

Lead Apex’s talent acquisition function, including a recruiting team of approximately 10, hiring strategy, workforce planning, recruiting metrics, systems, executive searches, and long-term university, trade-school, and industry partnerships. The role requires high-volume hiring leadership, executive presence, people analytics fluency, modern ATS experience, and the ability to recruit technical, aerospace, manufacturing, and skilled-trade talent while meeting ITAR and U.S. person requirements.

Design, implement, administer, and optimize IT infrastructure across systems, servers, endpoints, networks, and cloud platforms. Manage Windows, macOS, mobile, and Linux environments; configure networking, firewalls, VPNs, Microsoft 365, Azure, AWS, and AWS GovCloud. Develop PowerShell, Bash, and Python automation, provide Tier 3 support, document infrastructure, and lead technical projects. The role is full-time onsite in Playa Vista, Los Angeles.

Drive sourcing strategy and top-of-funnel pipeline development for specialized aerospace, engineering, production, supply chain, and operations roles. Identify and engage passive candidates through outbound channels, conduct initial screens, manage candidate relationships, partner with recruiters and hiring managers on intake and calibration, provide market intelligence, and track sourcing metrics in ATS and CRM tools.

Lead and scale the end-to-end supply chain organization for high-volume spacecraft manufacturing. Set strategy across sourcing, supplier quality, materials planning, inventory, logistics, and operations; build teams, KPIs, ERP/MRP systems, supplier partnerships, and risk mitigation to support aggressive production ramps and cross-functional manufacturing goals.

Design, develop, and own CI/CD and DevSecOps infrastructure to automate builds, container image creation, SBOM generation, scanning, and code-signing. Build and harden base images, integrate vulnerability and license scanning, manage artifact repositories, and partner with software teams to triage and remediate security issues across embedded, flight, and internal tooling.

This role involves designing RF systems for spacecraft, integrating hardware and software, performing analyses, and supporting payload customers with communication system requirements.

The Mechanical Engineer will design and qualify propulsion systems for spacecraft, perform analyses, support testing, and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams.

As a PCB Designer and Altium Librarian, the candidate will perform PCB layout and maintain the electronic component library, ensuring design consistency and manufacturability across avionics programs.
