The Electrical Engineer in Photonics will design and validate photonic systems for space applications, integrating electronics with optics to develop high-performance instruments.

Design, develop, and maintain reliable flight software for spacecraft and telescope platforms. Responsibilities include command and data handling, hardware interfaces, communication protocols, fault detection and recovery, hardware bring-up, integration, debugging, simulation, hardware-in-the-loop testing, and system validation. The role collaborates with multidisciplinary engineering teams and contributes to design reviews and technical documentation.

Lead design and development of electrical systems for laser communications: analog/mixed-signal circuitry, signal conditioning, timing/clocking, DSP support, lab characterization, prototype-to-flight transitions, and cross-disciplinary optimization for high-bandwidth optical links.

The Full Stack Software Engineer will design and maintain backend microservices, frontend applications, and C++ edge processing systems, ensuring scalability and reliability.

The Staff Software Engineer will lead technical roadmaps, develop backend and frontend applications, and ensure system scalability and reliability while mentoring other engineers.

Design and optimize precision mechanical and optomechanical systems for telescopes; create detailed 3D CAD models, drawings, and BOMs; run FEA for stress, thermal, and vibration; collaborate with optics, electrical, and software teams; support prototyping, fabrication, QC, assembly, testing, and production; participate in design reviews and documentation.

Design, simulate, prototype, and test electronic circuits, PCBs, and wire harnesses for telescope and observatory hardware. Ensure signal integrity, EMI/EMC compliance, manufacturability, and collaborate across mechanical, software, and manufacturing teams to transition designs to production.
