Lead the architecture and delivery of GitLab’s data products, including near-real-time data ingestion, knowledge graph integrations, data marketplaces, observability, and data-sharing APIs. Translate ambiguous 0-to-1 initiatives into roadmaps, resolve cross-team dependencies, ensure operational readiness across deployment surfaces, and mentor engineers. The role requires deep full-stack expertise, technical leadership, and experience with AI-powered orchestration and multi-tenant SaaS systems.

Build, maintain, and deploy a high-volume, fault-tolerant observability platform. Architect and develop OpenTelemetry-based systems, implement services in Go (concurrency/gRPC), work with ClickHouse/Postgres, Kafka/Redis streaming, and containerized deployments on Kubernetes/Docker. Evaluate new tools and improve platform reliability and performance.

Design and implement infrastructure services for a GPU-as-a-Service platform. Build REST and gRPC APIs, bare-metal provisioning workflows, Kubernetes cluster automation, reconciliation loops, and durable asynchronous operations. Manage server enrollment, inspection, OS provisioning, cluster creation, hardware inventory interfaces, error handling, idempotency, and multi-tenant infrastructure reliability.

Design and build scalable distributed backend systems and core services in Golang. Develop reliable, high-performance systems using PostgreSQL and Redis across microservices, networking layers, and cloud platforms. Prototype and productionize platform capabilities, collaborate on strategic technical initiatives, and influence engineering standards. The role focuses on AI infrastructure, distributed database provisioning, workflow orchestration, internal tooling, and developer experience.

Design and maintain Golang backend services, APIs, microservices, automation tools, and Terraform infrastructure modules.
