Los Angeles-based food company 4th & Heart raised $7.6 million. The company sells a variety of food products that feature ghee, a lactose-free butter that is a staple in Indian cuisine. With the latest funding, the company hopes to expand their distribution channels. 

Lyft is bringing wheelchair-accessible vehicles to Los Angeles. The tech giant will be partnering with First Transit to roll out the fleet of vehicles. Users who enable “access mode” will be picked up by a certified driver through First Transit. [SoCal Tech]

Upfront Ventures filed for a $250 million fund. According to the filing, the new fund will be called Upfront Growth III, L.P. and does not have any investors yet. [SoCal Tech]

Santa Monica-based scooter company Bird expands in Europe. Bird announced an office in Paris and plans on hiring 1,000 new employees. This will be the tech company’s biggest European hub. [SoCal Tech]
