There’s a lot going on this month. We’re here to help you figure it all out, including which events you should sign up for. So here they are — take a look.

 

1. Built In Brews @ BCG Digital VenturesThursday, Nov 15 @ 6 p.m.

Join Built In LA and BCG Digital Ventures for a night of networking and knowledge sharing. You’ll be bumping elbows with LA’s tech leaders while learning how the corporate investment and incubation firm invents, builds, scales and invests with the world’s most influential companies.

2. Future of Animation Panel @ WeWork HollywoodTuesday, Nov 13 @ 6 p.m.

Producer Jed Hammel moderates a discussion with a diverse panel of industry leaders from animation shops inside Netflix, Amazon, LucasFilms and more. Come and hear where animation is headed from the people who know it best.

3. Digital Marketing & Donuts @ General Assembly — Wednesday, Nov 14 @ 8:15 p.m.

Learn about the strategies driving today’s biggest digital successes while cramming your face full of donuts. That’s essentially the General Assembly pitch. It’s a two hour introduction to digital marketing — all you need is your laptop and your thinking cap.

4. Women Who Lead @ City Market Social House — Thursday, Nov 15 @ 5:30 p.m.  

This one’s for you, ladies. What’s more fun than watching an empowered group of women talk about making a career doing the thing they love? Doing that while holding a craft cocktails, chewing on a gourmet appetizers and entering to win a giveaway from La Fleur. Panelists include Google’s head of media and entertainment, the director behind Jimmy Kimmel Live, as well as other leading investors and entertainment execs.

5. UCLA 10 Questions Series: What is Work?Tuesday, Nov 20 @ 6:30 p.m.

UCLA is giving the public a peek behind the academic curtain. Their “10 Questions” series, a hybrid academic course and public event series, brings together leading minds from across the university to discuss ten fundamental questions.

Their latest event brings together Willem Henri Lucas, Catherine Opie, Alfred Osborne and Abel Valenzuela with moderator Brett Steele (the dean of UCLA’s School of the Arts & Architecture) to explore the question: What is work? We think we have a pretty idea — but we’re excited to hear what they come up with.
