VideoAmp appoints Michael Parkes as its first Chief Revenue Officer to meet the explosive demand for cross-screen optimization
VideoAmp, the cross-screen optimization platform for the TV and video ecosystem, today announced that it has appointed Michael Parkes as its first Chief Revenue Officer. As CRO, Parkes will be responsible for revenue generation and scaling the sales organization. Parkes was brought on to continue building on VideoAmp’s second 100% quarter-over-quarter growth as the company furthers its leadership position in the advance TV and total video ecosystems.
 
Parkes, whose appointment is part of a larger effort to capitalize on VideoAmp’s terrific momentum by nearly doubling the investment in sales and marketing globally, comes to this role with more than a decade of experience leading sales and marketing teams, with impressive results. He has a decorated career in digital media and technology, and has a track record of growth both in the U.S. and abroad.

Prior to VideoAmp, Parkes served as SVP of Sales at Amobee, overseeing the company’s North American sales team ensuring exceptional results and high touch customer service for Amobee’s clients. Amobee, which is owned by Singtel acquired Adconion Direct in 2014 where Michael also served as  SVP of Sales. He helped launch Adconion in the US and grew the sales team up until the acquisition by Amobee. Previously, Parkes was President of UK-based advertising network eType in New York where he oversaw all sales and operations after leading sales for eType across Europe for three years. Before eType, Parkes worked as a Sales Manager for CNET Networks in Sydney, Australia where he led sales of online ad campaigns in Australia and Asia Pacific markets. Parkes is a native of Sydney, Australia and currently resides in New York City. He has a Bachelor’s degree in Management from the University of Technology in Sydney, Australia.
