Women-founded Unicorns are on the rise. According to a recent Crunchbase report, there's about to be a record number of women-founded unicorns in 2019. Depop raised $62 million in Series C funding. A marketplace for fashionistas, Depop allows users to set up a profile and buy, sell and browse for clothes. With 5 million users, Depop plans to use the new funding to increase to 15 million users and expand in the U.S. [Built In LA]

Aaron Rodger's backed VC raises $50M. Name sound familiar? The Green Bay Packers quarterback is now a co-founder in Rx3 ventures, an LA based VC firm that recently announced the launch of its $50 million growth fund. So far the company has invested in CorePower Yoga, Privé Revaux and Hydrow, and plans on investing in growth-stage consumer companies. [Built In LA]
