Any entrepreneur knows that it takes not only a vision, but a village – and a broad range of experience – to start a successful venture, and 30 Miles North, a public relations agency based in Santa Monica, exemplifies this. The company, which has worked on high-profile campaigns in the tech, fashion, and entertainment industries, develops strategic media outreach plans for its clients for television, web, social media, and print. Providing a holistic approach to PR and social media, and quickly building its client list and its team of like-minded people.

That motto is splashed across the company’s website and variations of that phrase can be found throughout the team members’ bios. Jamieson, who joined the company four months ago, is no exception, citing a background in social media and a natural curiosity about PR. “ I honestly thought that once I turned freelance, I would never work for anyone again, but I got along so well with Priscilla Vento [30MN’s founder and CEO], and had the same vision - so teaming up just made sense.”

For Jamieson, working with 30MN clients, which have most recently included FashEngage, GonnaBe, and Lovvvit, involves everything from high-level strategy to community and advertising management to ROI tracking: helping 30MN live up to its mission to offer customized PR plans that are right for each brand. “I love the challenge of working with new clients,” Jamieson says. “Identifying the right demographic, finding out what content is most engaging to them, and what drives the most results.”

And Vento agrees: “Blake has a grand talent for aligning strategies based on data," she says.  "His efforts are never in vain. This means a higher ROI for the client and no time wasted. I couldn’t be happier to have Blake on team30."

And those results are catching on, with business building exponentially, and reaching all types of industries. But don’t expect 30MN’s clients to get lost in the shuffle. “We’re growing each month more than the month before,” Jamieson says. “Our client list, and our team. I’m sure we’ll continue to grow, but we want to keep that small, boutique feel. We just really enjoy what we’re doing...we’re all very different pieces of the puzzle, but we work really well together. That’s what I love most about it.”
