What's It Like to Work at Braze?

Braze Employee Perspectives

Workplace perception at Braze is shaped by a deeply inclusive and community-driven environment, where diversity is not only embraced but actively celebrated. Employees experience a culture enriched by a wide range of perspectives, backgrounds and shared interests, creating a sense of belonging that extends beyond day-to-day work and into meaningful connection.

“The diversity, equity, and inclusion that is put at the forefront of our community at Braze. We have people from different socioeconomic backgrounds, from different nationalities, we have different political views, different sexual orientations, and it just creates this most amazing melting pot of perspectives, opinions, and contributions to the community. We have the employee resource groups, which are 10 different groups such as Black@Braze, Jews@Braze, and Muslims@Braze, who educate, celebrate, and shout about their respective religions and cultures and bring a richness to the wider Braze community. We then also have a wide range of different clubs and groups of people that get together from musicians to sports people to various other different groups, which makes our community a much richer place.”

Workplace perception at Braze is shaped by a strong alignment between innovative work, passionate people and a culture that embraces individuality. Employees are drawn not only to the company’s product and mission, but also to an environment where curiosity, enthusiasm and personal interests are genuinely valued. This combination creates a workplace where people feel energized, supported and empowered to make an impact.

“I think first and foremost was legitimately the product itself. It is a really innovative customer engagement platform. One of the things we say often is that we are here to forge connections between consumers and the brands they love. The second piece, which is actually probably arguably the most important, is the people. They are not only intellectually curious, extremely intelligent, and supportive, but they are also passionate. And that’s something that I didn’t find often at a lot of companies when interviewing, and that passion really resonated with me. I could tell everybody was really excited about what they were doing. But then also throughout the process, I had actually learned Braze supports other passions that you might have, and there’s a Slack channel for almost anything. Joining Braze, you realize that your passions are truly welcome here and you’re empowered to make an impact.”

I think everyone at Braze is super committed to making Braze a better product and also better culturally.”

Braze Employee Reviews

Braze is a place where grassroots movements flourish, especially when it comes to social events. When a company has a good culture, it's not just that it's an enjoyable place to work, but that the culture compounds on itself and grows organically.

Every month, a different department hosts a social event - this provides a great opportunity to get to know and collaborate with people across teams. In addition to broader team social events, we also host a quarterly team outing where we do team building activities and socialize outside the office. It’s really fun!

I work closely with teams from across marketing, as well as from a variety of different departments—from customer success to product—to inform the content we create. Thankfully, the people at Braze aren’t just really smart; they’re also thoughtful and kind. That makes collaboration easier and something I look forward to every day.
