What's the Work-Life Balance Like at Braze?

Braze Employee Perspectives

Braze’s approach to work-life balance is rooted in flexibility and support during life’s most important moments. Employees are empowered to prioritize both their careers and personal lives, with policies and a culture that make it possible to fully show up in both.

“The work-life balance is comforting. I became a mom while at Braze, and having the space to celebrate and the flexibility to be home with my sons are benefits that can’t be understated.”

Braze’s approach to work-life balance extends to creating inclusive, family-friendly experiences that help employees integrate their personal and professional lives. By supporting parents and caregivers through global initiatives, the company fosters a culture where family is not separate from work, but welcomed as part of the broader community.

“Our Take Your Kids to Work Day has quickly evolved into a global event across Braze offices. Re-launched in New York City headquarters, it was adopted in our London, Sydney and Singapore offices. As part of this initiative, we hosted engaging, fun and educational activities for children of all ages, showcasing Braze’s support to parents and caregivers integrating our home lives with our professions.”

Braze’s approach to work-life balance goes beyond flexibility, creating space for employees to share their personal interests and connect outside of their day-to-day roles. By encouraging individuals to bring their passions into the workplace, the company fosters a more engaging and well-rounded environment where people can connect on a human level.

“In addition to ERGs focused on individual identities, Braze also hosts companywide ‘Braze Passions’ sessions during which any employee can lead a show-and-tell-style video call showcasing what they’re passionate about. One of the early ones I attended was a cooking workshop led by a product manager who had worked as a professional chef for many years. He led us around his kitchen and discussed knives, chopping techniques for onions — that I still use! — and other tidbits.”
