Snap Inc is seeking a Principal Software Engineer, iOS with 14+ years of experience to join their Media Delivery Platform team. The engineer will be responsible for creating high performance mobile apps, designing and implementing Objective-C software, launching new features, and ensuring code quality. Strong knowledge of Objective-C, iOS, and CS fundamentals is required. Preferred qualifications include experience with Swift, AVFoundation, VideoToolBox & Core Media Frameworks, C/C++, OpenGL or Metal, and video codecs (HEVC, AV1).

Design, implement, and scale critical engineering components and services to support Snap's most strategic initiatives. Advocate for best practices in availability, scalability, and cost management. Provide technical direction for the entire company.

Manage complex component development from concept to production for Optical & AR Display Modules. Collaborate with internal teams, supervise fabs & contract manufacturers, define build plans, investigate component processes, lead failure analysis, and own component roadmap. Requires deep experience with display systems and optical modules.

Contribute to the LogScale SaaS solution for observability, log management, and security events. Develop new features as well as improve existing functionality. Collaborate cross-team with frontend engineers, UX designers, and product managers.

Design and build detection logic and systems to detect cyber attackers and stop breaches.

Create, extend, enhance, revise, and maintain course material on incident response, forensic analysis, intelligence operations, and other information security topics. Work effectively at a distance, interact with coworkers globally, and create material for delivery via a learning management system. Serve as a subject matter expert to trainers and consultants, manage course metadata, and produce high-quality written reports and presentations.
