We are seeking a Specialist, Higher Education Partnerships, to join FoundationCCC in its mission of benefiting, supporting, and enhancing the California Community Colleges—the largest and most diverse system of higher education in the nation. What You’ll Do 

The LAUNCH Apprenticeship Network is a member of the Collaborative Impact team of the Foundation for California Community Colleges and supports meaningful connections between students and employers in California through work-based learning and support services. Our role is to support efforts to bring relevancy and real-world experience to students in California through growing the quantity and quality of work-based learning, with an emphasis on registered apprenticeship, but also includes job shadowing, classroom presentations, internships, and other job training opportunities.  

This position represents an exciting opportunity to help shape and lead program development and technical assistance related activities for initiatives that focus on the expansion of new and innovative pre-apprenticeships and registered apprenticeships as pathways for the community in the Inland Empire region and addressing racial, ethnic, and socioeconomic disparities in the labor market. The Specialist role will provide a wide range of programmatic and outreach support working with a local community college district, as well as industry employers, government agencies, funders, and more. This role supports apprenticeship programming across all forms of instructional delivery, including credit-bearing, noncredit, and not-for-credit models.

  •  Program Development & Implementation: Program Development & Implementation: Lead the development and registration of new apprenticeship programs in partnership with industry, labor organizations, and college stakeholders, and Career Technical Education (CTE) faculty and administrators.

  •  Operations & Program Coordination: Oversee day-to-day operations of apprenticeship programs, including participant onboarding, documentation, reporting, data entry, and records management.

  •  Compliance & Reporting: Interpret and apply relevant California Education Code, Labor Code, Title 5 regulations, and apprenticeship standards to ensure compliance with state and federal apprenticeship requirements.  

Attributes for Success  

  •  Relevant BA/BS, equivalent work experience, or a combination of both. 

  •  Minimum of three (3) + years of related work experience in workforce development, apprenticeship/ pre-apprenticeship, or community college, preferred.

  •  Minimum of two (2) + years of experience in an education or non-profit environment preferred.

Budgeted Annual Salary Pay Range:

$73,000.00 - $78,000.00

Final salary and rates are based on education, experience, skills relevant to the role, and internal equity.
