Owns Workday Finance, Payroll, and Adaptive Planning platforms, serving as the escalation point for complex issues and configuration changes. Leads payroll calculations, year-end readiness, finance-domain design, regression testing, reporting, data integrations, and EIB loads. Partners with HRIS, Finance, Accounting, Payroll, and Business Systems teams on cross-functional processes, controls, reconciliations, and audit readiness. Provides subject-matter expertise and mentorship while helping systems and finance processes scale.

Supports Workday Financials and Workday Adaptive Planning as the first technical resource for Finance system issues. Maintains financial data, worktags, mappings, and platform integrity; assists with EIB loads, reporting, testing, and semiannual releases. Provides user training and documentation, conducts discovery sessions, and collaborates with external consultants to improve systems and processes. The role requires knowledge of Workday finance modules, finance operations, GAAP, financial data management, Excel, and responsible use of AI tools.

Build, optimize, and maintain batch and streaming ETL/ELT pipelines, data models, and automated workflows using AWS, Snowflake, Python, SQL, dbt, and shell scripting. Containerize and test data workloads, integrate systems, support business intelligence and API access, improve data architecture, and implement documentation and security governance. Collaborate cross-functionally on time-bound projects while developing expertise in education data and advancing CCGI’s educational equity mission.

Supports finance operations through basic accounting, financial statement and government report preparation, data reconciliation, and fiscal desk reviews of grant subrecipients. Applies GAAP and federal grant compliance requirements, including 2 CFR 200, while gathering data across systems and reviewing financial controls and documentation. Communicates findings to customers, partners, and management with accuracy and attention to detail.

Provide first-line technical support for web and mobile applications, resolving inquiries, reproducing and documenting issues, auditing user accounts, testing error handling, investigating system performance, managing escalations, developing support processes, identifying trends, and training users remotely and occasionally in person.

Manages the design, configuration, security, integrations, testing, reporting, and continuous optimization of Workday HCM across recruitment, onboarding, benefits, payroll, and time tracking. Serves as the escalation point and subject matter expert for complex HRIS issues, mentors support staff, coordinates vendor and tenant engagement, and advises stakeholders on system design, risk, and roadmap decisions.

The Executive Director will lead CCGI’s statewide strategy, operations, finances, partnerships, compliance, and organizational performance. The role oversees an approximately 80-person distributed organization, develops senior leaders, strengthens relationships across California’s education and government systems, advances equity-centered student outcomes, manages state funding and legislative obligations, and serves as CCGI’s principal public advocate. The position is fully remote within California and requires regular in-state travel, including up to 20% overnight travel.

Maintains Salesforce opportunity, account, contact, and pipeline data; performs data cleanup, reconciliation, reporting, and quality activities. Provides administrative and operational support to the Resource Development Department.

Leads quantitative and qualitative research, evaluation, and data analysis initiatives supporting California Community College student success, equity, and policy goals. Responsibilities include analyzing complex datasets with Stata, SQL, R, or Atlas.ti; managing projects through planning, implementation, and reporting; producing research reports, policy briefs, presentations, dashboards, and visualizations; translating findings into recommendations; advising stakeholders; and representing the organization at meetings and conferences.

Supports higher education student success and equity initiatives through project planning, policy research, data analysis, stakeholder engagement, and development of policy briefs, reports, presentations, and communications. Conducts qualitative and quantitative research, synthesizes findings, manages deliverables and competing deadlines, and collaborates with education, government, nonprofit, and system partners. Monitors policy developments and participates in relevant meetings and hearings. The position is fully remote within California with some travel.

Researches grant opportunities and writes, edits, coordinates, and submits grant proposals, contract bids, concept papers, and letters of intent. Manages grant portfolios, timelines, budgets, scopes of work, deliverables, and reporting requirements. Conducts prospect research, supports funder outreach and stewardship, maintains information systems, and coordinates with internal and external partners to develop funding opportunities.

The Specialist will manage grants administration projects, oversee compliance, provide guidance to awardees, track KPIs, and support funding applications for workforce development on behalf of California colleges.
