This position can be based at our Chicago, Illinois headquarters or can be remote.

1WorldSync is the industry leader in product content management. With 600 employees across the US, Brazil, Canada, France, Mexico, Portugal, Switzerland, and the UK, we’re seeking a Director, Sales to support our growing global team.

Reporting directly to our Vice President, Global Sales, the Director, Sales will support the creation and implementation of account strategies and then monitor them to ensure high, wide, and deep relationships are developed and maintained. This role will obtain the 1WorldSync corporate targets as it relates to subscription renewal, upgrades, professional services, adoption, and usage advancing growth accordingly. You will lead the development of new prospects and generate new business revenue within identified industries or sectors. This role will also provide accurate forecasts to upper management. 

As Director, Sales at 1WorldSync, responsibilities include the following:

  • Manage recruitment, goal setting, performance, coaching, and customer engagement, with the goal of exceeding key objectives from the sales team.
  • Manage the implementation of day-to-day sales procedures and initiatives to optimize productivity in pursuit of key goals.
  • Conduct regular team meetings including pipeline and forecast reviews with the account team
  • Share sales and other performance results and metrics with the Leadership Team.
  • Prepare accurate monthly revenue forecasts.
  • Analyze revenue reports, pipeline reports and forecasts to determine degree of new sales and renewal risk including competitive opportunities and threats.  Communicate upward.
  • Provide direction and collaborate with internal partners such as Professional Services, Solution Sales, Marketing, Education and Training, Technology, and others to make sure the team needs are fully understood and executed upon.
  • Work with your team to devise and implement detailed sales plans for all key clients in their territory/account list, to identify growth opportunities and retain business.
  • Stay informed of industry trends, competition and changing technology by utilizing internal tools and attending appropriate networking events.
  • Make sure your team is aware of, understands, and follows business policies which impact sales, such as price policies, discount policies and contracts.
  • Manage the team as appropriate and recruit new talent as required to ensure a consistent high standard of sales performance, assertiveness, professionalism, and communication.

Required Skills and Experience: 

  • Bachelor’s Degree.
  • 12+ years of sales management experience, leading B2B sales teams selling complex solutions to high value clients.
  • 5+ years of B2B solutions sales experience in the CPG or Retail industries.
  • 3+ years sales or sales management experience.

Desired Skills and Experience: 

  • NetSuite CRM experience preferred.
  • The ability and desire to work in a fast-paced challenging environment.
  • Proven ability to lead, manage and build a sales team to facilitate accomplishment of team goals and sustain team morale.
  • Demonstrated experience hiring a high performing sales team, coaching and developing reps into high performers.
  • Understanding of web applications, SaaS, data analytics and emerging technologies in the fields of data management, content management, collaboration tools, ERP, or inventory/logistics management.
  • Ability to adapt a communication style depending on the audience while maintaining a professional and credible demeanor.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to communicate purpose and importance of both corporate and team goals and monitor team activities to ensure goal fulfillment.
  • High level of initiative and self-motivation; entrepreneurial.
  • Willing to take responsibility for customer loyalty.
  • Ability to make decisions which optimize team performance and support corporate goals.
  • Capacity to manage professional objectives along with demanding sales goals and expectations.
