Senior Business Development Manager
Hippo Education is on a mission to empower the people of medicine to learn, grow, and thrive by creating education and community. Our hard working and quick-to-laugh crew creates exceptional medical education products through our platform that hosts podcasts, video courses, and more to keep clinicians up-to-date and at their best. We have a team of over 40 people with some working at the main studio in Los Angeles while most of us work remotely across the world. As the company’s first Business Development hire, you will lead management of Hippo’s existing strategic partnerships while also working to form new ones. In your role, you will work to understand our partners’ businesses and objectives as if they were Hippo’s own. And you’ll use this understanding to craft and execute partnership plans that optimally meet the needs of both Hippo and our partners. Collaboration, vision, and organization will be key to your success in this role.
Responsibilities
Constantly explore new opportunities to grow the business of Hippo and our partners
Lead collaboration with partners and internal teams to establish joint strategic visions
Develop and project manage ongoing partnership plans that include new product development, sales, and marketing
Represent and advocate for partners’ interests while optimally balancing them alongside Hippo’s own
Research, initiate, and establish new partnerships
Qualifications
BA/BS degree, MBA a plus
5+ years of experience in a business development and / or partner management role
Exceptional project management and organizational skills
Solid understanding of product development, sales, and marketing
Data-driven and adept at working with numbers
Ability to dive into new, unfamiliar environments and learn quickly
A massive sense of humor, optimism, and an ability to roll with lots of changes

-$90,000 - $110,000
