Leaf Group is looking for a Senior Account Manager to help us ensure the success of digital advertising campaigns from implementation and delivery through campaign recap and renewal opportunities. The client-facing role includes daily cross departmental communication with Ad Ops, Rev Ops, Branded Content, Design, Marketing, Strategy, and Sales to ensure optimal campaign management, performance, and client retainment. Remote is considered for this role.

You’ll Report To: Sr. Director, Account Management

A typical day as an Senior Account Manager might include:

  • Management and optimization of campaigns with premium advertisers across multiple Leaf Group properties
  • Schedule and lead internal campaign kickoff meetings
  • Participate in external campaign kickoff calls to outline assets, deliverables, deadlines, and approvals
  • Asset Management; Preparation of campaign related documentation (e.g. Asset Requests, Timeline, Delivery Reports, Campaign Wrap ups) for Client and Internal Stakeholders
  • Seamless monitoring and optimizing of multiple campaigns to fulfill client KPIs
  • Recognizing, analyzing and quickly solving campaign issues and discrepancies
  • Working with our 3rd party vendors for brand lift studies along and custom creative display media.
  • Involvement and resolution of client escalations and issues
  • Partnering w/ Ad Ops, Branded Content, Design, Marketing, and Sales to assure accurate and continuous campaign related communication
  • Ensuring clients and internal sales teams are receiving exceptional customer service and support
  • Assisting in building relationships with clients
  • Managing and updating team process docs and templates
  • Bi-weekly check-ins with Associate Account Managers

You’ll be successful if you have attention to detail, critical thinking, enthusiasm, organization, resilience, self-discipline, self-motivation and the ability to communicate clearly and effectively. The position also requires an analytical and logical thinker with the conviction to meet problems head-on and solve them accurately and quickly.

What You Have:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience 
  • 4+ years experience in account management and creation of digital media plans
  • Fluency in digital media language: impressions, CTR, CPM, eCPM, CPV, vCPM, etc.; Extremely client focused and client service oriented; 
  • Data literate. Capable of converting raw data into valuable insights and brand stories.
  • Experience in adding structure and prioritizing issues
  • Ability to prioritize and focus with a high level of attention to detail
  • Good presentation and interpersonal skills with the ability to articulate and deliver messages effectively
  • Excellent Excel proficiency; Google Drive Proficiency (including Google Documents, Sheets and Slides); Asana and/or Jira experience; 
  • Proficient in Microsoft office suite & web browsers
  • Experience with reporting & data visualization tools like GA, Data Studio, Tableau, etc a plus
  • Fluency in digital media language
  • Comfortable with negotiation and conflict resolution
  • Client focused orientation toward service
  • Excellent verbal and written communication.
  • Not afraid to wear multiple hats - no job being too small or too large.
