Reporting to the Manager, New Market Sales, this individual will be contributing to research on markets that ServiceTitan does not currently service, with the ultimate goal of expanding our total addressable market. This is a new department that will operate as a startup within a startup - we’ll drive results by rapidly testing and iterating, learning every step of the way, and creating a scalable machine. Everybody will have a voice at the table to ensure that we’re optimizing for results and not following a regimented hierarchy of titles. We’re looking for somebody that is passionate, accountable, curious, resourceful, and data-driven.

As our Jr. Sales Engineer, New Markets, you will: 

  • Support sales efforts in client facing meetings and calls by serving as a technical product expert within the New Markets team
  • Work closely with the Sales Manager and Sr. Sales Engineer to learn best practices and how to support New Markets Account Executives on demos and calls 
  • Engage with prospects and customers to understand all relevant workflows, including third-party integrations
  • Conduct viability calls with prospective customers to determine if they are a product fit or are not a product fit, and documenting those learnings
  • Map prospect and customers workflows to the product, ensuring that interim workarounds for product gaps are well documented, along with product gaps that we cannot solution
  • Conduct general and detailed demonstrations for prospects and customers
  • Serve as go-between for sales and implementation
  • Contribute material input to go/no-go/continue decisions upon test completion

To be successful in this role, you'll need: 

  • At least one year of experience in a Sales Engineer or product related role 
  • Love our customers: we want people that relish in our customers’ success

  • Love to learn: you challenge yourself to learn the best new sales methodologies and techniques
  • Experience validating / testing products in new markets, including new verticals and geographies
  • Vertical SaaS experience is required
  • Experience working with contractors is highly desirable

  • Ability to work independently and cross-functionally
  • Must be committed to the success of our customers
  • Given the experimental nature of this job, we will require very tight compliance when it comes to data - we need to focus on learning
