We are looking for a highly motivated and passionate business development all star to work hand in hand with our Sales Team to help grow our customer base in the University market and further develop our reputation as the industry standard.

The ideal candidate is a hunter, proactive, organized, and professional. You will use your tenacious prospecting and strong relationship building skills to generate interest and book demos for the Account Executives. This role requires a blend of charm and sophistication, with excellent written and phone communication. Let's be honest, you'll be on the phone a LOT with individuals ranging from Administrators and Assistants, to Deans and University Provosts. Through outbound emails and calls, you will be responsible for qualifying each prospect to ensure high-quality opportunity conversions on behalf of the Sales Team.

Responsibilities Include: ​​​​​​

  • Develop and maintain an effective level of understanding of the problems our clients face and the way 12Twenty helps solve them
  • Meet or exceed activity targets for: Conversations with key influencers and decision makers via outbound efforts (phone, email, and social media)
  • Scheduling and conducting introductory qualifying calls
  • Converting qualified prospects to scheduled demos for Account Executives
  • Document activities in sales automation systems
  • Effectively communicate with other stakeholders including supported Account Executives and Sales Management
  • Utilize all available means including internet sources, social media, referrals, and inbound leads to create robust and effective prospecting list


Requirements: 

  • 1-3 years of experience in a similar role
  • Salesforce
  • Excellent communication skills (written and verbal)
  • Natural people person and relationship builder
  • Tenacity and a go-get em attitude


Bonus points:

  • SalesLoft or equivalent TOF campaign management tool
  • Work experience in Higher Education
