Business Development Lead, Channel Sales

We are looking for a Business Development Lead to join Team Snapchat! You'll drive advertiser acquisition and revenue by building and managing strategic partnerships with SMB service providers and/or platforms inclusive of influencer marketers. Working from our Los Angeles, CA headquarters you'll need great presentation skills, a proven record of managing senior relationships, the ability to manage many projects at once, and a deep understanding of the digital advertising world. The successful candidate will be equal parts strategist, project manager and business developer. Creativity and flawless executional ability will be required to cultivate new partnerships and leverage existing ones, ensuring both partners gain business value.
What you’ll do:
Proactively source, negotiate, and secure partnerships with SMB service providers or platforms that offer access to potential SMB advertisers
Build, manage, and grow relationships with new and existing partners
Establish relationships with influencer marketing agencies and build a long-term influencer sourcing strategy
Understand our business model and be able to evaluate partnership ROI during deal negotiations
Collaborate with cross-functional teams, both locally and internationally, to align business strategy and support growth
Oversee strategic third-party partnerships, serving as key point of contact for all integrated communications planning (Marketing/PR/Social/etc.) related to execution of partnership agreements
Work with partners on joint promotional assets and keep updated over time with new content
Through the use of strategic planning, quarterly business reviews, in-person working sessions with accounts and client engagements, you will reach and / or exceed quarterly activation goals
The responsibilities include day-to-day oversight of clients, managing the entire client life-cycle after the initial agreement is signed, onboarding, ongoing account growth, renewal, and development
Hold webinars, workshops, and trainings to onboard partners to new products and help them succeed
Track, analyze, and communicate key quantitative metrics to develop and execute against partnership goals
Minimum qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in business, communications, marketing, or another related area of study
10+ years of marketing, brand advertising, media sales, and/or online advertising experience
Preferred qualifications:
Expert knowledge of social media, mobile apps, and digital and mobile marketing
Strong track record of engaging and partnering with C-Level executives
Deep knowledge of the self-serve platform, auction, and biddable form of digital advertising buying
Proven performance winning the support of key stakeholders
Strong existing relationships with top marketing decision makers for brands and their agencies
Proven track record of reaching and exceeding sales goals
Ability to perform well in a highly dynamic, rapidly changing environment
Creative, outside-the-box thinker and strategist
Excellent communication and presentation skills
A team player and collaborator
Passion for Snapchat, marketing, and up for the challenge of building something from the bottom up
