MOCAP ACCOUNT EXECUTIVE (LOS ANGELES)

StretchSense is the New Zealand and Seattle-based team behind the MoCap Pro Gloves that are enabling studios to capture nuanced hand gestures in a fraction of the time it would take to do the same using a manual keyframing process.

About You:

You have previous work experience related to motion capture and are a keen follower of new technologies being developed in this space. Working in production, you may have been responsible for requesting or responding to RFP's, working directly with vendors and or/ have been significantly involved in the vetting of potential recruits for mocap/animation services. You enjoy talking to new people and developing relationships via remote methods, as well as in person. Technically savvy, you are quick to pick up how hardware and software operate, and can quickly become comfortable using both to demonstrate our products.

 

Job Description:

You will be championing the MoCap Pro Glove hand solution by building new relationships with studios/animators in Los Angeles. An important part of the role will involve you networking and building your own personal network. The number of glove units sold will be an indicator of performance in this role.

You will be based in Los Angeles but will be working closely with sales members in Washington and New York offices as well as headquarters based in Auckland (New Zealand). 

 

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Find and reach out to prospective new clients through outbound methods or tapping into your existing network. 

  • Follow up with website, email and conference leads.

  • Demo gloves at studios or over zoom, and help customers with pipeline integration questions. 

  • Log all deal information, sales activities, communications and notes in the Sales CRM and diligently keep your pipeline up to date.

  • Be available for travel (after the COVID-19 lockdown) as per company requirements.

  • StretchSense glove products are constantly undergoing rapid development. To succeed in this role, you will need to stay up to date on the changing glove specs in order to sell the latest improvements to clients.

  • Identify client needs and provide both technical and commercial feedback to the development and management teams for reviewing both the commercial and technical strategies around the new product line.

  • Aim to achieve and exceed personal sales targets to drive new business growth.

Must-haves:

  • Previous work experience in mocap or related industries (film, animation, or gaming).

  • Be available for travel.

  • Be a self-starter and able to operate independently with limited HQ support from New Zealand.

  • Friendly, outgoing personality

  • Team player

Nice-to-haves:

  • Experience in hand motion capture.

  • Strong networks in motion capture and animation.

  • Start-up work experience or previous sales experience.
