Within our Advertising Solutions organization, the Emerging sales team focuses on challenger brands, disruptive business models and high-growth, high opportunity performance advertisers, ranging from some of Snap’s largest customers to early-stage startups. As an Account Executive, you’ll act as a business owner to develop an industry vertical or category. By partnering with an Account Manager, you’ll develop a focused list of advertisers at varying maturity levels to deliver substantial revenue growth.
You will need to have natural leadership abilities; confidence using analytical tools to synthesize insights; and strong client-facing skills, especially the ability to tell a story with data that proves the value of partnering with Snap. Account Executives in the segment should be deeply curious about new business models and quickly develop industry expertise, demonstrate comfort with ambiguity and possess expert problem-solving skills to remove barriers and accelerate growth.
What you'll do:
Identify, prioritize, and secure business opportunities based on a deep understanding of your category and the business strategies of your customers
Partner with other cross-functional teams to meet customer goals, structure and execute operational and strategic initiatives
Define campaign approaches, develop work plans and create compelling sales propositions using internal and external data, including complex upfront proposals
Create persuasive sales presentations using market trends, creative insights, campaign analysis and case studies
Develop and implement best practices for client interaction, sales and service, keeping pace with innovation on the platform and ads products
Develop metrics to measure the growth and performance of accounts and develop custom reporting as needed
Maintain deep expertise on Snapchat products and developments and leverage that understanding to identify cross-selling opportunities relevant to customers’ business goals
Consistently deliver on sales targets by taking ownership of a market segment and applying an entrepreneurial approach
Bachelor’s degree in business, communications, marketing, or another related area of study
5+ years of marketing, brand advertising, media sales and/or online advertising experience
Prior experience as an Account Executive on a sophisticated auction-based digital marketing platform
A proven track record of advertising sales to consumer products brands, including partnership development with agencies and brand-direct stakeholders
Extensive knowledge of CPG industries trends, analytics, as well as measurement and attribution approaches for traditional sales channels
Experience with measurement solutions including mDAR, MOAT, Nielsen, Millward Brown, Neustar
Excellent communication and presentation skills, including the ability to build trust with C-level clients by understanding their business needs and tailoring communications
Strong existing relationships with top marketing decision makers for advertisers and their agencies
Ability to win the support of internal stakeholders across product, marketing, and support teams, and advocate for your customers
A proven track record of reaching and exceeding sales goals, and achieving success within a highly dynamic, rapidly changing environment
A team-first approach and commitment to developing the skills and careers of less experienced team members
