Coordinates daily production line activities, personnel assignments, schedules, and production goals. Trains and assesses employees, monitors product quality and output, enforces GMP, food safety, sanitation, company, and safety requirements, and reports quality or maintenance issues. Requires standing for extended periods in a cold work area, weekend and overtime availability, and flexibility to support other teams or schedules.
Job Summary
Coordinates and oversees activities of the production line workers to provide a safe working environment, produce high-quality product, and meet production requirements.
Responsibilities and Duties
- Manages and coordinates the daily activities of production line personnel.
- Assists in managing work schedules, assignments, and production processes to meet production goals.
- Partner with Supervisor on a daily basis to coordinate operations and activities within department and generate daily production reports.
- Responsible for quality and quantity of production output by training new hires and skill assessment/development of existing employees.
- Follows all GMP's (Good Manufacturing Practices) and work in a manner consistent with all corporate and regulatory, food safety, quality and sanitation requirements.
- Ensures that company policies and procedures are being followed in a consistent manner.
- Ensures line personnel practice safe work habits and follow safety rules.
- Reports Quality or Maintenance issues to the Production Supervisor.
- Must be able to stand in the work area (cold) for up to 10 hours with routine breaks and lunch periods.
- Must be able to work weekends when required.
- Must be able to work overtime when required.
- Other duties as assigned including: getting moved to another group or work team or start time.
