The Opportunity

The Pricing Analyst supports the financial and operational management of firm engagements. This role focuses on assisting with scoping, budgeting, pricing analysis, and matter performance tracking while ensuring data accuracy across financial systems. The Analyst will work closely with senior team members, Practice Management Directors, and other business professionals to help drive informed, data-driven decision-making across the firm.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in developing budgets and preliminary pricing analyses for new and ongoing engagements

  • Assist professionals in determining the scope of new engagements, utilizing data from templates and historical matters

  • Support the preparation of pricing recommendations and financial materials for partners and business professionals

  • Conduct analysis of client and matter financial data to identify trends, risks, and opportunities for improved profitability

  • Help monitor actual results against budget and escalate variances to senior team members

  • Support response efforts to client RFPs by compiling data and contributing to pricing models

  • Maintain accurate financial data in firm systems and assist with updates to engagement details

  • Prepare regular reports on matter performance, including monthly and ad hoc reporting

  • Assist in financial modeling, including data extraction, cleansing, and reconciliation

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support reporting and analytics needs

  • Support data governance efforts to ensure consistency and integrity across systems

  • Assist with tracking engagement lifecycle, including identifying matters ready for closure

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Economics, or a related field required

  • 1–3 years of experience in financial analysis, pricing, or professional services environment preferred

  • Strong Excel skills (e.g., formulas, pivot tables, data analysis)

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite

  • Experience with financial systems or data tools (e.g., Aderant or similar platforms) is a plus

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail

  • Effective written and verbal communication skills

  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment

  • Self-motivated with a willingness to learn and develop new skills

The base annual pay range for this role is between $80,000-$100,000. The base pay to be offered will vary and depend on skills and qualifications, experience, and location.  A full range of medical, financial and/or other benefits dependent on the position will also be offered.
