About eJam

eJam is a bootstrapped consumer products company that has built, scaled, and exited multiple brands — all without ever taking a dollar of outside capital. Our portfolio includes category leaders ranked at the top of Amazon, carried in major retailers nationwide, and sold across DTC, marketplaces, and every channel in between.

We’re not a startup hoping something works. We’re a team that has done it repeatedly — taken products from zero to eight figures, landed them on retail shelves nationwide, and built real brands that consumers love. We operate like a holding company with the speed of a startup: small team, no bureaucracy, massive ownership.

This is the place where you’ll see the entire machine — sourcing, product development, packaging, manufacturing, compliance, marketing, marketplace strategy, retail — all under one roof. If you want to learn how consumer products actually get built and shipped at scale, there is no faster education than this.

Position Summary

We are hiring our People & Culture Coordinator — the operational heartbeat of eJam HQ and one of the most trusted, visible seats at the company. This is a high-touch, high-trust role that keeps our headquarters running, our team energized, and our people experience exceptional. The work spans the full spectrum: setting up a new hire's workstation, managing facilities and outside vendors, planning a quarterly offsite, energizing an All Hands, greeting a candidate at the door, troubleshooting with the building when something breaks. If you are the person who notices everything, takes care of people without being asked, and leaves every place better than you found it — this is your seat.

This is an entry-level role with massive room to grow — and the scope will grow with you. As you build trust, you will start touching more of HR: deeper onboarding, employee experience programs, recruiting support, benefits coordination, and beyond. We want someone ready to wear many hats, take on new challenges, and stretch into whatever the business needs next. You will work cross-functionally with every department and with teammates around the world from radically different backgrounds and cultures. For someone looking to kickstart a career in Human Resources or People Operations, there is no better launchpad.

What You're Walking Into This is not a big corporate office where the work you do disappears into a void. What you do here will directly shape our team's day-to-day, our people experience, and the culture we are building. It is incredibly fast-paced. No two days will look the same. You will get thrown curveballs, you will need to pivot quickly, and you will need to be comfortable being reactive when a moment calls for it. If that energizes you, you are going to love it here.

What You'll Own
  • Office Health & Facilities — Keep our Santa Ana HQ running like a five-star operation. Stock the kitchen, order groceries and supplies, replace anything broken, and manage our cleaning vendor, gardeners, IT vendors, and the building (internet, plumbing, roofing, HVAC, upstairs tenant). You are the first call when something needs fixing.
  • IT Asset & Equipment Management — Own the full lifecycle of every piece of equipment — laptops, monitors, peripherals, desks, headsets, conference room AV, ring doorbell. Maintain a clean inventory, keep laptops updated and secure, set up new-hire workstations, and reclaim equipment when teammates depart.
  • Guest Experience & Front-of-House — Be the face of HQ. Greet visitors, manage the ring doorbell and front-door access, receive and route mail and packages, and create a "wow" first impression for every candidate, partner, and vendor who walks in.
  • Culture & Celebrations — Decorate the office for birthdays, anniversaries, and holidays. Plan quarterly onsite team outings. Own the birthday/anniversary calendar so nothing slips. Support All Hands meetings end-to-end — logistics, food, AV, energy.
  • Remote Culture & Inclusivity — Partner with leadership to design inclusive experiences for our global teammates so they feel just as connected as our HQ crew. Coordinate care packages, virtual celebrations, swag drops, and culture moments that span time zones.
  • New Hire Experience — Make every new hire feel like a million bucks on Day 1. Prep welcome kits and swag, set up desks, coordinate laptop provisioning, and make sure they feel like they belong from the moment they arrive.
  • Vendor, Mail & Budget Management — Manage relationships and invoices for cleaning, gardening, groceries, supplies, and small facilities vendors. Own a monthly office budget and submit invoices cleanly.
  • HR Administrative Support — Get your feet wet in real HR. Help with employee documentation, light onboarding paperwork, internal Slack announcements (new hires, birthdays, anniversaries), and the foundational People Ops work that grows into a broader People & Culture scope over time.

Requirements

YOU'RE A FIT IF YOU ARE…

  • Naturally organized and a great planner — you juggle many things at once without dropping the small details. Birthdays, vendor follow-ups, the snack nobody likes — you remember it all.
  • A people person at heart — outgoing, thoughtful, and confident enough to introduce yourself to anyone in the company, including leadership, and speak up when you have an idea or see something worth fixing.
  • High energy with a strong bias for action — you genuinely care about your teammates, you lend a hand without being asked, and you get stuff done without being told twice.
  • Comfortable with curveballs — when the day pivots, you pivot. You stay calm in chaos and bring energy to whatever lands in your lap.
  • Competitive and driven to grow personally and professionally — eager to wear many hats and stretch into deeper HR scope (recruiting, onboarding, employee experience) as the role evolves with you.
  • A strong written and verbal communicator — clean Slack messages, thoughtful emails, comfortable picking up the phone to call a contractor, landlord, or vendor.
  • Comfortable with everyday technology — Google Workspace and AI, willingness to learn ClickUp, HRIS systems, and basic laptop/IT troubleshooting.
  • Bringing 0–2 years of professional experience (internships and college leadership roles count). A college degree is helpful but not required if you have the goods.
  • Able to be onsite in our Santa Ana, CA office reliably, 5 days a week. The work cannot happen from home.

WHY YOU'LL LOVE IT HERE

You will be the heartbeat of a multi-brand CPG company at one of the most exciting stages of its growth. You will learn how a "corporate startup" actually runs — across finance, brand, ops, and engineering. You will work with teammates from every continent with wildly different backgrounds and stories. Your manager will be invested in your career, and you will have a clear runway to grow into a true HR Generalist or People Operations Manager role over time.

THIS ROLE IS NOT FOR YOU IF…

You want to skip straight to HR strategy on Day 1, or you see facilities and office work as "beneath" real HR. You prefer to be told exactly what to do each day instead of figuring it out. You are looking for remote or hybrid. You would rather hide behind a screen than greet a guest, talk to a vendor, or troubleshoot a coffee machine.

Benefits
  • Health, Dental, Vision
  • 401k Plan
  • Amazing, Pet-Friendly Office Environment
  • Free snacks and drinks, ping-pong table on-site
  • Quarterly team outings and events
  • Opportunities for growth and cross-department learning
  • A varied, high-trust role with room to grow

What you need to know about the Los Angeles Tech Scene

Los Angeles is a global leader in entertainment, so it’s no surprise that many of the biggest players in streaming, digital media and game development call the city home. But the city boasts plenty of non-entertainment innovation as well, with tech companies spanning verticals like AI, fintech, e-commerce and biotech. With major universities like Caltech, UCLA, USC and the nearby UC Irvine, the city has a steady supply of top-flight tech and engineering talent — not counting the graduates flocking to Los Angeles from across the world to enjoy its beaches, culture and year-round temperate climate.

Key Facts About Los Angeles Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 375,800; 5.5% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Snap, Netflix, SpaceX, Disney, Google
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, adtech, media, software, game development
  • Funding Landscape: $11.6 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Strong Ventures, Fifth Wall, Upfront Ventures, Mucker Capital, Kittyhawk Ventures
  • Research Centers and Universities: California Institute of Technology, UCLA, University of Southern California, UC Irvine, Pepperdine, California Institute for Immunology and Immunotherapy, Center for Quantum Science and Engineering
