The opportunity

ServiceTitan powers the businesses that keep the world running. Our compensation function is rebuilding for what comes next, and that requires someone who builds things, not just someone who knows comp.

This role exists because our internal partners (HRBPs, TA, Finance, HROps) don't have great tools. They reach us directly for answers that should live in a system. They use workarounds where workflows should exist. They wait on us when they should be moving independently. The job isn't to answer those questions faster. It's to make them unnecessary.

You've built things in your career: a tool that replaced a recurring ask, a process that made a partner team self-sufficient, a workflow that eliminated a class of questions. You've also done the comp work: pricing roles, navigating complex offers, earning credibility with skeptical partners in the first five minutes of a conversation. This role is where those two things finally belong in the same seat.

This role reports to the Senior Director, Total Rewards.

What you'll own

Internal partner enablement
Your first six to nine months are your research phase. You'll serve as the primary comp resource for TA, Finance, PBPs, HROps, and TAOps, fielding offers, pricing requests, and unique business needs directly. Every question you field is a design requirement. Every friction point you encounter is future product backlog. You're not just answering; you're building the case for what to build next. In the near term, while self-serve systems are still being developed, this also includes data audits and system integrity checks, work that surfaces the gaps the tools need to close and ensures partners are operating from accurate information.

Tools and self-serve infrastructure
You own the compensation experience for internal partner teams, not just the consultation, but what replaces it. The offer calculator TA uses independently. The pricing tool that lets the business move without waiting on comp. The HRBP resource that handles the question that's always the same question. You own the tooling roadmap, you partner with People Technology and People Insights and Analytics to build it, and you measure success by how well partners are self-supported, not by how many requests you closed.

Intake and triage
When requests come in that cross lanes or don't have a clear owner, they land here first. You route deliberately, close the loop with the partner, and use the pattern data to identify the next thing to systematize. Intake isn't overhead. It's your best source of product intelligence.

What we're looking for

  • 5–7 years in compensation, with meaningful time in a business-facing or partner-facing role at a high-growth or public tech company

  • A genuine product mindset you can demonstrate through real examples: something you identified, built, and measured that changed how people worked, not just a process you improved

  • Deep enough comp expertise to hold credibility with HRBPs and TA from day one: offers, benchmarking, off-cycle requests, the full range of what partners bring to comp

  • Active AI tool user: you can point to workflows you've built or accelerated, not just experiments you've read about

  • Comfort with data audits and compensation analysis: you can identify errors, validate data integrity, and surface patterns that inform what needs to be built

  • Strong financial acumen, comfortable building models, interpreting budget data, and partnering with Finance

  • Advanced Excel or Google Sheets skills; data is your native language

  • Workday experience, including approval workflow configuration

  • Formal product management experience is a plus, not a requirement

Who thrives here

You've built things before someone asked you to. You're restless about answering the same question twice, not because it's inefficient, but because it means a system that should exist doesn't yet. You think like a product manager: who is the user, what's creating friction, what does a better version look like. You hold a high bar for accuracy because you know compensation only works when people trust it. And you make the people around you better at their jobs.

What you need to know about the Los Angeles Tech Scene

Los Angeles is a global leader in entertainment, so it’s no surprise that many of the biggest players in streaming, digital media and game development call the city home. But the city boasts plenty of non-entertainment innovation as well, with tech companies spanning verticals like AI, fintech, e-commerce and biotech. With major universities like Caltech, UCLA, USC and the nearby UC Irvine, the city has a steady supply of top-flight tech and engineering talent — not counting the graduates flocking to Los Angeles from across the world to enjoy its beaches, culture and year-round temperate climate.

Key Facts About Los Angeles Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 375,800; 5.5% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Snap, Netflix, SpaceX, Disney, Google
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, adtech, media, software, game development
  • Funding Landscape: $11.6 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Strong Ventures, Fifth Wall, Upfront Ventures, Mucker Capital, Kittyhawk Ventures
  • Research Centers and Universities: California Institute of Technology, UCLA, University of Southern California, UC Irvine, Pepperdine, California Institute for Immunology and Immunotherapy, Center for Quantum Science and Engineering
