Sr. Manager, Payroll

We’re looking for a Senior Manager, Payroll to join Team Snapchat! As a member of the Payroll team, you will help manage the team that pays our employees. Working from our Los Angeles, CA headquarters, you’ll collaborate closely with HR, HRIS, Stock Admin and Tax.
What you’ll do:
Set a vision for and lead our payroll people, projects, and global initiatives; providing support, mentorship and leadership
Nurture strong cross functional business partner relationships
Artfully balance contending priorities while expectation setting with the business timeframes
Collaborate on projects and initiatives; implement operational improvements and better business practices to deliver quality customer service
Ensure payroll is processed globally in an accurate and timely manner while accounting for the funding of all payroll deductions to third parties and tax authorities
Ensure appropriate payroll controls and backup systems are in place
Oversee payroll related to stock based compensation
Assist in the design of critical metrics and other performance measurements
Supervise vendor performance as it relates to compliance, contractual agreements, and service quality
Work closely with our technology teams to give feedback and perform testing on miscellaneous system-related projects and improvements, including Workday
Partner with HR and vendors to ensure accurate payroll and benefit accounting, compliance, and management of end-to-end payroll processes
Establish efficient payroll processes that are outstanding
Partner with international expansion teams to establish new payroll locations
Review monthly, quarterly, and annual reporting as required
Help lead and drive various payroll audits
Participate/lead cross-functional projects utilizing Lean Six Sigma concepts to improve processes
Improve payroll processes for mobile employees and expats
Assist in implementing payrolls in new countries
Ensure SOX compliance with regard to Payroll controls
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
Excellent communication, customer service, and organizational skills
Proven understanding of payroll tax requirements and understanding of how payroll transactions impact the ledger
Experience with qualified benefit plans, 401(k) plans, and stock plan administration
Experience processing & coordinating international payrolls
HRIS system experience preferred with Workday system knowledge a plus
Strong executive presence with the ability to collaborate with senior leadership
Previous experience processing payroll related to RSUs
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in business administration, accounting, human resources, or a related area, or equivalent work experience
10+ years of payroll experience
5+ years of payroll management experience
Prior payroll experience with knowledge of state and federal wage and hour laws
Experience in payroll management for a large multinational, multi-state employee
Preferred Qualifications:
Active APA membership and CPP designation
Excel subject matter expert
Experience with Workday, ADP streamline, and Celergo
Experience working in a tech or fast-growing company
