Procore is looking for a Manager, Employee Relations to guide the evolution of our employee relations and investigations model to align with our employees’ lived experiences and company culture. In this role, you’ll serve as a steward of Procore’s guiding principles, policies, and practices in handling employee-sensitive matters. 

As our inaugural Manager, Employee Relations, you’ll ensure employees are consistently treated fairly, respectfully, and aligned with Procore’s values. You’ll analyze multiple levels of employee and manager feedback to identify risks and gaps. You’ll build trusted relationships quickly and lead with warmth, empathy, compassion, and creativity. Successful candidates have the demonstrated ability to collaborate with and influence dynamic businesses through effective management (both proactive and reactive) of a wide range of employee relations and issues.

This position will report to the Sr. Director, Talent Business Partners and Employee Relations within the Global Talent Organization. This role can be delivered remotely in the US or based out of our Austin, TX office. We’re looking for someone to join us immediately.

Responsibilities

  • Directly supervise a team of two Generalists who provide support to the HR Business Partners; provide direction, coaching, and performance management to direct reports.
  • Direct the diagnostics and resolution of issues with increasing complexity, visibility, and risk related to policy or culture concerns/violations
  • Collaborate with managers, HR Business Partners, and Legal, recommending solutions to address issues from a systematic perspective (e.g., establishing new principles/tools) while focusing on proactive initiatives designed to promote employee experience and maintain a safe and professional work environment
  • Interpret trends in employee relations issues; design and recommend interventions and solutions to facilitate an open, inclusive, values-based environment that enables effective employee relations, company-wide
  • Lead data analytics and organizational health diagnostics by creating analysis plans in collaboration with HR Business Partners; generate and present trends, insights, and action plans on organizational health solutions
  • Collaborate with HR Business Partners and Learning and Development to contribute insights, leverage resources, and provide capability-building support
  • Identify, develop, and implement plans to address training needs within the business; partner with HR Business Partners and L&D to develop and coordinate scalable programs and processes
  • Leverage, align, integrate, and guide others in the implementation of communication messages; collaborate with HR Business Partners to gain buy-in on programs and processes from business stakeholders

Qualifications

  • 8+ years experience with Human Resources; Bachelor’s degree preferred
  • 5+ years Employee Relations experience - Must be able to manage the most complex employee relations scenarios and investigations within the context of corporate culture, regulations, and statutory requirements related to all employment-related concerns
  • 3+ years experience of previous management experience with proven leadership skills and the ability to work collaboratively across functions and with all levels of the organization
  • Possess the ability to use and understand business intelligence and data analysis software and programs, such as an HRIS system, to evaluate, interpret, and organize data related to employee relations and human resources
