Who We’re Seeking:

As an integral member of the People Team, the Manager of Learning & Development is responsible for the assessment, design, implementation, and evaluation of programs that support the professional development and continuous learning of Omaze employees. We are looking for a Manager of L&D who is passionate about learning and excited to create meaningful impact on our team. This person will report to our Director of People, Culture & Development.

Key Responsibilities: 

  • Deliver an exceptional new hire orientation experience that welcomes new employees and provides an engaging introduction to the company, brand, virtues, and organizational structure
  • Collaborate with other People Team members to develop a leadership competency framework that can be applied to trainings, performance management content, talent reviews, and leveling across the organization
  • Partner with HR and external partners to deliver regular manager and leadership training.
  • Work with People Team to continually build on and improve Omaze’s Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion efforts and initiatives
  • Conduct organizational needs assessments to determine appropriate learning solutions
  • Design, develop, and serve as an internal facilitator for a variety of learning and leadership programs
  • Identify appropriate and cost-effective learning methods and evaluate whether learning outcomes are achieved.
  • Consistently assesses and measure training and development program to ensure relevance to business needs
  • Develop company-wide processes, frameworks, and tools to support and reinforce trainings
  • Track L&D and DEI data and metrics to measure effectiveness and success of programs
  • Gather and analyze employee feedback to drive continuous improvement, effectiveness and optimization 
  • Research best practices and trends to make recommendations on company training and development initiatives. These will vary, but may include performance management, leadership development, organizational design, succession planning and employee engagement

Our ideal candidate: 

  • You have 3-5 years of professional experience in learning, coaching, organizational development, or a complimentary field
  • You are able to see the big picture of an organizational system, understand the context of an organizations' functions, and have strong diagnostic skills.
  • You have experience with and passion for Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion initiatives and programs
  • You thrive in a fast-paced environment and demonstrate a high degree of learning agility and problem solving skills
  • You exhibit a Growth Mindset and proactively seek out opportunities for self-improvement and team development
  • You are action-oriented, organized, resourceful, and flexible with high attention to detail
  • You enjoy and appreciate working collaboratively as a team and working independently
  • You are an excellent communicator (e.g. verbal, written, presentation) and facilitator
  • You are comfortable public speaking and presenting in front of a group, both in person and virtually
  • You are emotionally intelligent and demonstrate advanced interpersonal skills
  • You are proficient in GSuite and MS Office programs
  • You have experience with and knowledge of Culture Amp, LMS, and various personality and organizational assessments (e.g. DISC, Hogan, Enneagram, etc) a plus

The office is located in Marina del Rey with easy access to plenty of restaurants. We are close to LAX, beaches and Marina.
