About the Role


The Learning and Development (L&D) Manager will be responsible for the performance management and professional development of the organization’s employees. Their purpose is to make the most out of people’s talents and help them develop to their full potential. In this role, you should be passionate about helping people to learn, adapt, and grow. At the same time, an L&D Manager keeps a strong focus not just on what the learner wants and needs, but also on the needs of the organization. The impact you will have:

  • Assist in the development and continuous improvement of a thoughtful performance evaluation and management program
  • Create and execute learning strategies and programs
  • Partner with People Business Partners to identify and evaluate individual and organizational development needs
  • Prepare and implement various learning methods companywide (e.g. coaching, job-shadowing, online training)
  • Design and deliver e-learning courses, videos, workshops, and other training
  • Assess the success of development plans and help employees make the most of learning opportunities
  • Collaborate with managers to develop their team members through a career trajectory (reskilling and upskilling)
  • Gain an understanding of the various business units and their specific training requirements, as well as overall company compliance needs
  • Identify and assess new learning platforms, content, and training resources when necessary

What you bring to the role:

  • 4+ years of professional experience; preferably in People Ops 
  • 2+ years proven experience as an L&D Manager/Specialist or Training Manager
  • Preferably have worked with 400+ employees distributed nationally or globally
  • Current knowledge of effective learning and development methods (ADDIE Method, and SWOT Analysis)
  • Familiarity with e-learning platforms and practices
  • Experience in project management and budgeting
  • Technically proficient with the creation and use of internal wikis and Learning Management Systems
  • Excellent communication, negotiation skills, and sharp business acumen
  • Ability to influence and build rapport with employees and vendors
  • BSc/BA in Psychology or professional certification (APDT, CPLP) is a plus
