Internal Events Manager

We’re looking for an Internal Event Manager to join Snap Inc! As a member of the Global Brand Strategy team, you will assist in developing Snapchat experiences through global employee initiatives. Working from our Santa Monica headquarters, you’ll collaborate with various teams across Snap, as well as external vendors to create experiences aligned with Snap’s brand.
What you’ll do:
○ Curate the internal Snap community via unique and custom Snapchat events
○ Identify scalable opportunities to bring the Snapchat brand to life that inspire and unify employees worldwide
○ Manage global events ranging from 100-3,000 attendees
○ Schedule, execute, and oversee event logistics, including, but not limited to:
- Venue research & site visits
- Catering selection
- Permitting
- Contract negotiation
- Invite management
○ Develop key relationships with venues and vendors both internally and externally
○ Partner cross functionally to ensure smooth and successful event executions
○ Develop comprehensive project timelines and create new visual branding elements
○ Optimize event ROI
○ Create and track budgets of various size and complexity
○ Develop events and programs that are flexible enough to scale with Snap’s continued growth and the complex and ever-changing needs of our business
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
○ Experience in supporting company-wide global initiatives
○ Exceptional negotiation skills and understanding of contractual agreements with vendors and venues
○ High attention to detail
○ Strong work ethic and ability to simultaneously manage multiple tasks and meet tight deadlines
○ Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
○ Superior interpersonal skills to work with internal and external stakeholders
○ Able to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team environment
○ Must be flexible and willing to travel as needed
○ Experience working cross-functionally with stakeholders at all levels of the organization, driving projects across teams and time zones, and managing vendors
○ Ability to handle ambiguity, in a complex project environment
○ Fluent in Google Applications, Apple Applications, and Microsoft Office Suite
○ A passion for Snapchat and creativity!
Minimum Qualifications:
○ BS/BA degree or equivalent years of experience
○ 8+ years of experience in managing and producing events
Preferred Qualifications:
○ BS/BA degree in marketing or communications
