The People Team is looking for a full cycle HR Business partner for the Technology, Product, Design and Marketing teams. This individual will be a true partner, ally and mentor for the Department Heads, Managers and team members within their groups, guiding them through the following:

  • New Hire Orientation
  • Onboarding
  • Employee Relations/Lifecycle
  • Employee Development 
  • Performance Management
  • Coaching & Training
  • Process & Protocol
  • Compliance
  • Partner with Recruitment on Growth Paths, Titling & Compensation
  • Offboarding

The People Team is both advocate and educator for Tradesy’s Core Values and works to ensure they are consistently reflected in our work culture. Reporting to the Chief People Officer, the HRBP will be a part of a true team dynamic- each member doing their part to ensure the success of every individual in the group they are responsible for as well as the Company at large. The role is both administrative and strategic. Tradesy believes that a successful HR team combines accountability and ownership with collaboration and a shared sense of purpose.


In order to succeed in this role you will need:

  • A solid Human Resources background and experience in a broad range of areas.  You should be familiar with compliance issues, performance management, compensation benefits administration and payroll. While you may not be directly responsible for administration of all of these, you will be guiding, advising and looking for solutions to issues that arise - so being experienced in this domain is critical.  We are looking for an experienced thought partner as well as an executor.
  • Experience managing a team with a solid understanding of team building and management best practices.  While you may (or may not) have direct reports at any given time, you will be regularly giving counsel and advice to managers and team members at every level
  • Competencies with HRIS and ATS software programs and an ability to navigate them successfully in order to ensure accuracy and efficacy
  • An emphasis on and experience in data, reporting and analysis.  This role will work alongside the Chief People Officer to help analyze and improve Tradesy’s work environment through culture surveys, programs and initiatives. They will be tasked with the creation, maintenance and analysis of HR metrics, queries, and standard reports for ongoing company requirements
  • Discretion and integrity. This role requires working with highly sensitive and confidential information such as human resource planning, payroll, salaries, performance correction plans, promotions, acquisitions, security issues, etc., and demands a high degree of responsibility and judgment
  • Effective coaching and communication skills.  Experience working in an agile environment and helping manage people through change.
  • A desire to learn and grow and help others do the same.  A distrust of the way things have always been done in favor of the way things could be done.
  • The patience, empathy and emotional intelligence to work effectively with all kinds of people.  A willingness to not only embrace diversity but to seek it out and to ensure that everyone not only has a seat at the table but also a voice.

You Have:

  • 5+ years experience of progressive HR Experience with HR Systems and strong Microsoft Office skills, including advanced level Excel
  • Experience with ADP (or another PEO model) 
  • The ability to anticipate and problem solve independently.  Experience bringing  process, structure and clarity without instituting bureaucracy or slowing the momentum
  • A respect for where the company stands today, and an understanding of how to pace the business change as well as anticipate the need for new strategies
  • Great  communication skills – both verbal and written – with innovation, creativity and consistency in conveying the company culture
  • Proven success working in a remote, team-oriented environment

Pluses:

  • PHR or SPHR certification
  • Experience with Greenhouse (ATS)
