Role Overview
The Employee Engagement Specialist will support EZ Texting’s work to be a best in class remote place of work. This is an exciting opportunity to drive a cultural transformation and support our transition to a remote-first company. You’ll work cross-functionally to develop strategies to create a meaningful employee experience from onboarding to offboarding. As part of our broader employee engagement work, you will also partner closely with our Diversity, Equity and Inclusion (DEI) Council to create and implement programs that bring our DEI mission to life at EZ Texting. A successful candidate cares deeply about building culture and has experience developing employee programs from the ground up.
Employee Engagement & Internal Communications
Manage internal employee communications channels to ensure EZ Texter’s know how to find the information they need and that the right messages are shared to boost employee engagement
Support other efforts to improve our internal communications as needed such as All-Hands etc.
Manage programs and initiatives that focus on promoting employee appreciation and recognition
Lead and organize an internal “Culture Committee” and develop a company-wide calendar and produce events that provide meaningful experiences for employees to connect remotely
Create "out of the box" initiatives to enhance the employee experience throughout the employee life cycle
Manage all scheduling, coordination and presentations for our new employee onboarding, day 1 experience
Manage our employee engagement pulse survey, which gives employees an opportunity to provide ongoing feedback about our team and the debrief/action planning process
Diversity, Equity & Inclusion
Develop strategies for DEI learning and engagement programs such as workshops, trainings and other events to raise awareness around DEI issues
Partner with the Recruiting team to develop recruiting partnerships to diversify our recruiting pipelines
Partner with the DEI Council to create a framework to launch and support Employee Resource Groups (ERGs) as part of our broader employee engagement work
Remote-First Project Support
Support the Remote-First project manager to advance our work in building a best-in-class remote workplace
Research and support the implementation of best practices and programming in partnership with the Remote-First project team
Requirements:
2+ years of of experience supporting or leading people programs
Excellent writing, editing and presentation skills - bring an ability to think and communicate information visually
Proven success building and implementing programs that inform and delight employees
Strong judgment and comfort dealing with ambiguity and fast-moving situations
Strong organization and time management skills with the ability to accurately prioritize work across multiple projects and work within deadlines
Passion for developing culture and desire to champion DEI work within an organization
