We are looking for an experienced Director of Recruiting to join our People Operations team. In this role, you will lead a nimble Recruitment team from both an operational and strategic perspective.You will be a key member of the Tradesy Leadership team and work to help us grow both quickly and mindfully. This role will be a true business partner to executives and hiring managers in helping Tradesy scale and reach our ambitious growth goals.The ideal candidate possesses strong people management skills and an analytical approach to implementing resourceful recruiting strategies that yield positive results.  Recruiting is not a numbers game for Tradesy so the right individual for this role is someone who understands our mission, values and culture and seeks to help grow our team in a way that aligns with all of them.

This role reports directly to the Chief People Officer. Tradesy is a remote first workplace and this role is fully remote, although some travel may be required from time to time.

You will:

  • Manage and coach a team of Recruiters and a Recruiting Coordinator, effectively distributing work based on company priorities.
  • Ensure the Tradesy hiring processes, including our commitment to DEI, are being consistently implemented
  • Create robust Recruitment team dashboards, metrics and kpi’s and report out on them to the Leadership team
  • Build effective relationships with business leaders and cross functional partners to ensure alignment of the recruitment process and business needs
  • Act as an advisor to business leaders and leverage recruiting expertise in order to drive the talent acquisition process forward.
  • Own and be accountable for the Recruiting Budget
  • Be responsible for sourcing and actively recruiting on a handful of key positions (we all roll up our sleeves at Tradesy)
  • Manage the company hiring plan- helping the team to prioritize and forecast effectively
  • Manage all relationships with third party agencies and vendors
  • Create and execute recruiting strategies geared towards building a diverse and inclusive workforce
  • Develop and manage various talent programs (referral programs, interview training, candidate experience, etc.) that are aligned with Tradesy’s culture and values
  • Conduct regular internal and external compensation analysis, ensuring Tradesy is always up to date on market trends
  • Work with Marketing team to develop and direct employee branding strategies that increase Tradesy’s presence as an employer in the marketplace
  • Consistently evaluate processes and make iterations to streamline and add efficiency

You have:

  • 10+ years of full cycle recruiting experience
  • 5+ years successful people management and team building experience
  • Experience managing a departmental budget or P&L
  • Proven ability to effectively lead a remote workforce
  • Demonstrated success with senior stakeholder management - relationship building, serving as a trusted advisor on all things talent acquisition
  • Proficiency with Applicant Tracking Systems and HRIS platforms. (Greenhouse and ADP a plus)!
  • The ability to think creatively and strategically
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
  • A high level of discretion and confidentiality
  • A data driven approach to decision making - strong reporting skills
  • A team focused mentality - no job is too big or too small. The ability to lead by example and roll up your sleeves
