The Finance Team includes Finance Business Partnership, Accounting, Finance Operations, Financial Systems, Internal Audit, Tax, Treasury, and Investor Relations teams. Together, the team partners with leadership to provide insights, information, and guidance to make strategic and operational decisions, inform investors about our business model and progress, and ensure the company is financially healthy and consistently meeting our reporting obligations.
We’re looking for a Senior Accountant to join the Finance and Accounting team!
What you’ll do:
Collaborate with these, and other business partners daily to ensure accurate and timely accounting and US GAAP reporting
Analyze accounting treatment for certain transactions, record and report accounting transactions, and optimize processes for efficient and accurate data flow
Review customer contracts for revenue recognition implications
Prepare monthly and quarterly journal entries and account reconciliations as part of the monthly close process for revenue and other areas, as assigned
Review assignments prepared by staff accountants related to revenue and cost of revenue accruals
Prepare materials for internal and external reporting on a monthly and quarterly basis
Prepare various reconciliations and analysis of account activity
Identify risks, implement controls, and maintain accurate process documentation and evidence in accordance with SOX
Ensure customer transactions are recorded in compliance with ASC 606
Provide support for the annual financial statement audit, as well as periodic internal audits
Improve and document general processes for assigned areas
Provide support for other ad hoc analyses and projects as needed
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
Exceptional analytical and Excel skills, including Pivot Tables, VLookUps, etc.
Strong accounting knowledge and an understanding of US GAAP
Proven track record to work in a fast-pace environment and and balance several tasks concurrently in a deadline driven environment
Excellent critical thinking with the ability to make quality decisions, and superior attention to detail
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Exceptional organizational skills
Strong work ethic with the ability to work extended hours during critical periods
Able to work independently as well as collaboratively with a team
Leadership experience and ability to direct staff
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance or related or equivalent years of experience
3+ years of experience as an accounting professional or relevant field
Preferred Qualifications:
CPA License, or in progress
Big 4 firm experience
Fortune 500 and/or private company experience
1+ years experience working in cloud finance systems (Oracle, etc.)
