Payroll Analyst
We’re looking for a world class Payroll Analyst to join team Snap! Working closely with the Finance & Accounting and Payroll teams, you will play a key role in computing, processing, and auditing our international payrolls. Working from our Santa Monica office, you’ll collaborate with a team of existing payroll professionals and bright business partners throughout the company to support our finance structure.
What you’ll do:
Understand and apply payroll concepts for our global weekly, biweekly, and/or monthly payrolls
Ensure payroll is delivered on time and without errors
Facilitate, review and verify timely quarterly and year-end reporting
Work proactively to maintain current knowledge of pay practices and regulations
Manage and respond to payroll inquiries
Audit and ensure accuracy of data
Handle sensitive data with integrity and confidentiality
Process global payrolls
Review and audit payroll results
Develop ad hoc financial and operational reporting to support the business
Handle sensitive data with integrity, confidentiality, and the utmost discretion
Continually improve processes, optimizing for scale
Provide world class efforts towards delivering perfect payroll
Manage relationships with Snap stakeholders who may be remote or based in different time zones
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Strong knowledge of payroll concepts, including gross-to-net calculation, disposable earnings for garnishments, international pay practices, regulations, and tax rates
Knowledge of pre/post tax benefit deductions, fringe benefits, equity, gross-ups, and their impact to net pay
Understanding of federal and state regulations related to salaries, wages, taxes, benefits, and other payroll related matters
Understanding of basic accounting principles
Excellent analytical and problem resolution skills
Superior attention to detail
Effective verbal and written communication and organizational skills
Ability to efficiently perform several tasks concurrently and work independently in a deadline driven environment
Proficiency in Excel
Minimum qualifications:
2+ years experience performing global payroll functions
Preferred qualifications:
Degree in Accounting/Business Administration/Finance/similar discipline
Certified Payroll Professional (CPP), Fundamental Payroll Certification (FPC), Chartered Institute of Payroll Professionals or similar certification
Experience with Workday/ADP Streamline, including processing, creating earning/deduction codes, and payroll implementations
Experience with payroll systems implementations
