In the position of Manager, Oracle Financials, you will be responsible for leading application and solution delivery focused on the scalability and continuous improvement of Snap’s financials processes. As a team lead, this position will also be responsible for delivery against the short and long term roadmaps of our Finance & Accounting team needs. The successful candidate will provide structure & leadership to projects, understand our business and translate business needs into technical solutions while overseeing the delivery of projects, managing team’s workload and ensuring internal client satisfaction.
What you’ll do:
This role will largely focus on leading a team of Product Managers in design, configuration, implementation and operations of Snap’s Financial business applications, namely Oracle Financials (EPR Cloud) supporting our growth (i.e. onboarding New legal entities) and the delivery of requested enhancements and integrations with other applications such as BlackLine, Concur, JPM, Oracle EPM or other Internal Snapchat CRM applications. This position requires an individual who is hands-on (70/30 split - functional/manager), strong tactical decision maker and leader of day-to-day operations to meet our business objectives.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
Lead collaborative, cross functional teams to deliver high value solutions
Manage workload demands against current and planned resource capacity. Lead team capacity planning, performance analysis, and develop proactive resolution plans to address resource gaps.
Effectively negotiate scope and timeline with business leads to achieve high value business outcomes
Scope definition, Functional and technical requirements, system configuration, data integrity, and all system-related policies and procedures
Create and present key requirements artifacts: scope documents, use cases, business process mapping workflows, and Application gap analysis
Lead team backlog refinement, sizing and sprint or project planning sessions
Deliver innovative solutions that will scale and reduce our tech debt footprint
Act as a solution consultant that deeply understands current state business processes, challenges, and the supporting tech stack
Look ahead to identify delivery needs based on roadmap and work with management to address them
Anticipate blockers and identify creative solutions to unblock team and keep delivery on track
Own timely, transparent communication to leadership team on team’s delivery progress
Manage system adoption and satisfaction, by leading training users or creating training docs, as necessary
Document and follow formal policies, procedures, and protocols for changes, customization, standards, usage, etc.
Minimum Qualifications:
A Bachelor’s degree in a relevant discipline (IT business/computer science, Finance or Accounting) with 6 to 8 years functional/product management experience and 2+ lifecycle Oracle Financials Global implementations (ERP Cloud preferred)
Hands-on experience in configuring and supporting Global Oracle EBS R12.x and/or Oracle Financials Cloud (General Ledger, SLA, Payables, Receivables, Purchasing, Cash Management, Assets etc..) including Period end planning and closing
A detailed understanding of common industry standard business practices related to Accounting (Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, General Ledger, Invoicing), Purchasing Management (Purchasing and Fulfilment), and Support (Case Management)
Experience working with Finance & Accounting teams, partnering with them and driving projects to completion that supports business goals and objectives
Excellent written & verbal communications skills
Proven project management experience i.e. direct work and manage projects and progress
Experience with enterprise system implementations & solution architecture for global companies
Experience with Integrations of Internal or third party systems with Oracle Financials Cloud
3+ years experience in a management role
Preferred Qualifications:
A strong record of planning and executing complex global IT projects on time and on budget, and in a transparent and collaborative fashion with multiple stakeholders and priorities
Ability to multitask and scale quickly in a fast paced environment
Excellent lead, team player and able to work with global cross functional teams
Excellent influencing & negotiation skills
Certifications in Oracle Financials Cloud is a plus
Experience working in SOX environment by implementing & following Change management policies, controls & procedures
